Published

Hello future nurses!

I am starting this new thread for everybody that is planning to apply to LACC's nursing program for Fall 2014. How many of you are planning to apply for Fall 2014? I'll be finishing my last prerequisite (chemistry) this winter and hope to apply in February. Good luck to us all!

I'm in!

I'm in!

I'M IN!

Just got my letter!

Yaaaaaaaaay! CONGRATS Staceycsu! It is a wonderful feeling. Will you accept the spot? I am calling them tomorrow first thing in the morning to confirm the acceptance. :roflmao:

Thank you! Yes, I'm going to accept. I would like to get into PCC because the college is much closer, but Im happy with LACC!

Congrats to you too!!

Now I have so many questions. What color are the uniforms? Are the classes mon thru fri or mon thru thurs? Guess we will have to wait until August...

Oh I already know all the details since it is my home college, I know many people who were accepted previous years. Uniforms are all white. Classes are only Monday thru Thursday. Monday and Thursday theory and skill lab, and Tuesday and Wednesday clinicals. They do their clinicals at Olympic Medical Center, USC Good Samaritan Hospital in Downtown, Children's Hospital on Sunset, and I can't remember if there were any others. If you want to PM me, I will send you the link to their RN program special website where you have everything, cheat sheets for studying, curriculum, books, RN Handbook with all the details, rules, clinicals, everything. I love LACC and I am so happy to get in.

what does alternate number A8 mean?

i don't think I havePm privileges yet because I'm a new member. Could you email the link to me? My email is my user name @ gmail.com. Thanks!

You might want to give them a call. Looks like perhaps a typo.

what does alternate number A8 mean?

I doubt it's a typo, I think an A stands for "alternate" I suppose, and 8 means you are an alternate number 8, which means that 8 people have to give up their spot for you to get in. And that is very likely to happen as I already know three people who will be giving up their spots. My prediction is that you would be in as well.

But you should definitely give them a call tomorrow morning to make sure. Is this the only college you applied to? Is this the one you want to attend? Good luck and keep us updated.

Hi enzime I also got accepted, can you post the website for the information please.

I don't think it's allowed to post any links publicly here. I will pm you.

Yeah hopefully I am 8th on the alternate list! But i will call them just to make sure its not a typo and get my hopes up. I've actually applied to other schools such as Glendale, PCC, ELAC, Cerritos, and Mt. Sac. I've only heard from Cerritos and got rejected from there. I wouldnt mind attending this program/school if PCC doesnt accept me. However, i dont know much about their program and how their rep is? Do you have any info on pass/employment rates, teachers, etc?

NCLEX pass rate for the last three years was 95%, 97%, 97%. It is a great program, I know many people that are in the program already. They are very organized too

I also got into LACC - I got a letter and have not gotten a phone call. I also applied to GCC, PCC, LAVC and Pierce and this is the first notification I've gotten, so I'm not sure where I will wind up. I, too, would love the website information, Enzyme - my email is itajax007 (at) gmail.com. Thank you! Good luck to everyone on getting your first choice!
