Just wondering what is the longest anyone has had to wait for I-140 approval?
My history:
joined OGP june 2004
Job offer St Joes phoenix aug 2004
NCLEX pass march 2005
filed for I-140 may 2005
Still waiting:stone
Now I have been told it will be November at least before I travel to US:crying2:
I think I should be in the record books or is there someone out there with the same problem:imbar
Not to scare anyone, but I have waited for 2 1/2 years before my I140 got approved (Nebraska). That's a very long, painful waiting and thank God I got over it.... Now, I'm waiting for my interview maybe this April. Good luck to all those who are waiting for their I140 approval... Believe me, the waiting doesn't end there....
sorry to hear that

I passed the NCLEX in August 2005. The papers for I-140 were filed by ogp in september 2005. We are still waiting, waiting, waiting. We've just been told by ogp that the service center is taking a long time to process, regardless of the fact if an agency sent in the papers or if it's done independently. Hmmm.
But all we can do is be patient and wait. (sigh) :uhoh21:
But I'm hoping against all hope that we don't have to spend another cold, awful winter here....wish me luck!
well i do hope you get your I-140 approval soon
mine took only 5 months, goodluck

hi! I'm new here. Mine is quite close to Mervat but until now, I am still waiting for the letter from the embassy. Here's how mine went:
CGFNS: Nov 2004
I-140 Approval: October 4, 2005
Packect 3 to NVC: March 8, 2005
How would you know that the case has been forwarded to the American Embassy?
Hi, I think I would continue bettyhoops record, as I joined ogp in nov 2004, passed NCLEX on july 30th, filed for 1-140 in aug 2005 and am still waiting for an approval to come. No job offers yet. Whenever I ask, they just reply saying they cannot place a person until the approval arrives, and as for now, i am still a long way from travelling. Ofcourse its the same old ogp again, I wonder sometimes if i have to remind them that they promised to have us start our assignment in 18 months time. Its just taking forever
Ambitious nurse well its now over a year for me now and still no I-140, OGP actually told me the other week they had received 53 approvals in the last 3 weeks. as my mood improved it was then added mine wasn't 1 of them:o some one on here got there I-140 approval a few weeks ago but has had no job offers yet:uhoh21: maybe i should be grateful i have a job offer already, but i can't help thinking just how long will this hospital wait for me:stone
Good luck with the wait and fingers crossed for some news soon.

even though not going anymore still waiting for approval as paid for and moved centres from CA to Texas and recieved email from them last week saying recieved file in march and would take another 400+ days to process file, seeing as filed last july feel like someone is taking the michael :angryfire
Can't work out how the processing ctrs process their files as some who applied in oct/nov received their approval within weeks. Keep imagining our file is in a pile on someones desk and keeps getting more files on top:uhoh3: beginning to lose my mind trying to figure out why ours is taking so long:lol_hitti
^ this aint normal. there gotta be somethin wrong. i hope there's a way somehow for you to check. don't wanna make you more upset, but haven't heard of anyone that took this long.hopin here everything will still be ok. God bless you.
i really dont think there is something wrong at the moment ogp still have about 30 or so files in the same postition, so you are not on your own, im sure it will come soon, chin up
just thought i'd share my timeline. i was hired directly.
CGFNS - Nov. 2004
Job Offer - September 2005
Receipt Notice - December 8, 2005
Approval Notice - May 17, 2006
I experienced a short delay since USCIS requested for more evidence from my employer.
Originally my I-140 was sent to Nebraska. But since all I-140's are being processed by NSC now, I don't think there is any difference.
Hope this helps!
I'm scared that retrogression will happen before I get my packet 3/4.
Hi, we don't have any conclusive facts yet about retrogression. Unless the gov't itself will make some pronouncement concerning the same. As of now everything is just a rumor about retrogression. If your documents will reach NVC, perhaps we have nothing to fear of. that's only my opinion, pretse!just thought i'd share my timeline. i was hired directly.CGFNS - Nov. 2004

I am so sorry for you:crying2:
There has to be a mess up somewhere-but I'm glad to see you are still staying optimistic.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you-that you will make it to phoenix in 2006!
