Long gap btwn BSN graduation and NCLEX

Published

Does anyone know the time limitation between BSN graduation and taking the NCLEX? It has been seven years... I've checked BON web in my state and on the NCSBN web. Will call them to confirm, just thought someone might know offhand.

Again, just asking about the timing. Have read the state laws, the BON info and the National info. None of it pertains to my situation. I will figure it out on my own.

Then contact the BoN. Review the nurse practice legislations. Review the application requirements. Not all states restrict nclex access to qualified graduates. Members could help you if you'd bother to answer the first question....what state? FYI-NCSBN has nothing to do with this

OP is highly sensitive (negatively) to any type of question. Guessing that he/she is best left to his/her own devices, despite the request for help.

It wasn't a rude question. There wasn't a need to be rude.

OP is very rude. Unfortunately we can not help you unless we know the exact state you're in because it varies from state to state.

Just... Don't take the NCLX...

At this point OP, it's probably best to just move on if you don't want to listen...unfortunately, the odds of passing the NCLEX after 7 years are very poor to none. I would recommend a review course.

Also, OP, you can't just attack people you don't agree with. As a nurse, you will have to learn to deal with all types of people, some are not pleasant.

:bag: (prepares for attack)

OP, people are offering advice that you would be wise to poster to. Take a review course like the Hurst Review before you think about taking the NCLEX. Things have changed in the 7 years since you have graduated. No one here is being rude. They are just giving you things to think about.

I graduated in 2011. Taking exam now in July. So i hope you are eligible to take it too. Good luck.

What does "poster to" mean?

Could you give me an example or two of things that have changed?

You never provided what state you intend to take the NCLEX in. Like others have said, it varies state by state so it's hard to answer your question without knowing what state.
