Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Did ya'll take the HESI after taking A&P 1 AND 2 or did you take it right after A&P1? I'm taking A&P2 this summer and was just wondering if I should wait until after that class to take the HESI....[/quote']

I took both A&P's before the hesi but I took them almost 2 years before I took the test. It is very basic.

I took both before and took the hesi about 6 months after I completed a&p ll

Can anyone tell me when I ave to take micro by? I have not taken it and I forgot what thy said. Has anyone else not taken it?? I'm in at Montgomery

They said before you start the program because you wont have time once classes start. You might be able to take it this summer if they offer it.

I think you have to take it by the time you start second year? I know a bunch of people taking it this summer between years. It could just have to e done by graduation, but I don't think you could do it along with nursing classes and still pass everything...

I have a question about financial aid. If I buy my books before they issue the book funds, will I receive a refund? I did not apply for the book advance, but I don't want to buy all my books from the store on campus if I can get them cheaper.

2013 Nursing Admits

Above is the information about NorthHarris and I think the required course completion is same.

It says micro must be done before receiving VNSG certificate and before Nursing III.

You do if you are done with all your support classes.

Summers off! I got a littmann classic II- a nurse friend told me that would be the best..about 90 with engraving. Anyone else starting to get super anxious about the time counting down?! Got my scrubs yesterday :) waiting on books to see if I get in at Montgomery. Wish I could go ahead and buy them to get it over with! Where do we get out patches? Bookstore?

I got my patches at the bookstore today. They were $3 a piece. I got two since I plan on getting two sets of scrubs.

Do we just iron them on? And we put them on right sleeve right?
