Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

This is the CPR class that I took. Took 4h and cost $45 plus textbook ($10).

Super easy class.

Hey MoCo Crew has anyone checked their certified profile page lately. I had completed everything except one thing since i am waiting to take my last Hep B shot next month and it notified me through email that I had 7 outstanding items due. It looks like they changed some things and added another paper we need to sign. It also deleted things I had already done which I had to redo!! Go check it out! Also at the top it says we are class of 2014? Shouldn't we be 2015?! Also I don't know if anyone has found one or is considering making one, but I think we should start a facebook group for our class so we can stay connected and help each other out through the semester. Just an idea let me know what ya'll think!

As per the TOS please do NOT use facility/staff/faculty/office staff names. Allnurses is an anonymous site but can be seen by the public....think of this as HIPAA training.....two identifiers...school and staff name.

This also applies to the membership.....Many members use "anonymous" names for their user name because they wish to remain.......what ? anonymous.

No potentially libelous information about specific schools, instructors, or health care facilities/entities should be posted in these forums. While it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:

  1. It is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. Your privacy is paramount to us.

CPR-Now - CPR Classes In Houston, CPR Class In Houston, CPR Classes Houston, Class CPR Houston Tx, First Aid Houston, Online CPR Certification, Online CPR Course, Online CPR Recertification, CPR Classes Austin, CPR Classes Dallas, CPR Class Dallas, C This is where I got my CPR last year. They offer them pretty often, but they are a little higher than most, but I really like the place, and they also offer it as an online class, then you go and perform the skills.

I actually just got most of it done and it all says complete but I thought it said complete kinda quick, thought it took awhile (7-10 days) to be completed? I'm in for the fb page too!

I'm excited I come to Houston tonight for orientation tomorrow, and I have an interview Friday at St. Luke's yea!!!

I just check certified profile and everything still looks the same! That SUCKS Jessi!! Ahhh, I emailed and I am now number 6 on alternate list LOL moving on up. The girl that handles the spread sheet prob hates me!! I am praying..still have a few more months!!

I just checked mine and it hasn't changed. It still says compliant and I don't show anything that has been added.

Hmm I don't know? Mine added a nursing handbook acknowledgment form and a different form to fill out and upload with the TB skin test. It also changed the due dates to June 23rd. It might just be for Montgomery's site.

Call to the nursing department to check your status. My friend was in same situation and she was told that she didn't have to redo anything. Director tried to constant to fix, but I don't know where its fixed.

I checked mine and mine didnt change since I completed everything. Wonder why some people's change, some's don't.

Good luck with your interview. I, too, plan to start applying for PCT positions. I do not have the luxury of not working while in school. What position are you interviewing for? Do you mind if I PM you to ask how your interview went? My family and I are relocating because of school. I would like to know the starting pay for experienced PCTs in Houston. Thanks and good luck!

Thanks! I am interviewing for a Surgical Tech position. It's a pay cut from my current salary, but I'll take it if offered to just have some type of employment. I don't know the starting PCT rate but if I get any insight I will keep you posted. Feel free to ask my anything if I can help I'm glad to.
