Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Do they have to be leather?!

Nope. Although leather cleans the best, I think, so I'd go that route. We've never been lined up for shoe inspection, so there's some pretty good leeway in that area. All of the campuses have teal and white uniforms, don't they?

We wear navy colored scrubs for Kingwood. I don't think all campuses are the same.

Oh, ok. I wish we had your scrubs! We can wear whatever colors we want to lab, but clinical isn't pretty.

I know Tomball, NH, and Moco are all the same

LOL, I HATE OURS! I WANTED THE TEAL COLORED ONES!!!! Yea we can where whatever to Lab as well but they prefer we wear our scrubs.

So I read for the first 3 weeks we have to be there monday -Friday 8-5. Do y'all know what the schedule is like after that. Can we work? Can we do Online classes at first??

After the first few weeks, 2 hours of lecture is on Monday (10-12) , 3 hours are on Tuesday (10-1), lab is 2 hours on either Monday or Tuesday, and clinical is 10 hours Wednesday or Thursday.

Lots of people work part time! But no, there are no online courses.

Haha! Oh well...can't always get what you want, I guess. We have a uniform bonfire planned after graduation and I can't wait to turn these to ash!

stephalump what campus is that schedule for? I wonder if its the same for all campuses..? I just started a new job so i hope they will be flexible with my schedule (pending i ever get my acceptance letter lol!)

stephalump what campus is that schedule for? I wonder if its the same for all campuses..? I just started a new job so i hope they will be flexible with my schedule (pending i ever get my acceptance letter lol!)

Montgomery.

Nursing school will take over your life and everything will have to take a backseat or you won't make it through. You can only miss one lab day, one clinical day, and although there isn't an attendance policy for lecture...they have their ways of making you come. Their policy is that they own us Monday-Friday 8-5 the entire semester, so there aren't any excuses for not being available.

Congrats to everyone who has gotten in! Nursing school is exhausting and stressful and unlike anything else...but totally worth it!

but didn't you say you only go 3 days a week?? I have to work to pay bills and i have a child, so are you telling me you can't work unless its on a Saturday or Sunday?
