Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Wow I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one over here freaking out! I am waiting to hear from either Montgomery or tomball ( moco first choice, tomball second, 11.41 score ) From the looks of other scores, I will be BARELY squeezing by if I make it into my first choice. But the waiting is killing me!! Is there anything additional I should be doing besides biting my fingernails into a stump? Also so glad to hear some of you have already received good news!! Keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of us waiting.....

Does anyone know the cut-off for the final Hep vaccination. I will have my 3rd dose on 8/5, do you think that will be too late? I'm an alternate, but I'm going to hang in there and just do what I need to do, just in case!

I just dug out my Orientation form from last year and it says: "Immunization forms MUST indicate completion of all immunizations (including Hep B) by Thursday, July 19th."

Don't panic. I would email the nursing advisor and explain that you're an alternate whose Hep B won't be complete until 5 August, will that be a problem should I be officially accepted before my 3rd shot? She's very cool and I think she'll appreciate you're being proactive. Also, keep in mind that alternates are told to be prepared in the event they receive a call the day before class, however, I am not sure if that's something they say just so that you'll be prepared.

Keeping fingers crossed for you! Dying to know if I'm on the wait list for Montgomery. Looks like someone has an 11.4 and waiting for acceptance. Hoping my 11.2 will make the wait list! One of my best friends applied to Montgomery with an 11.6+ and hasn't heard from her 2nd choice so I assume she's in at moco. Can't imagine how you guys feel!

I'm with you! I hope my 11.38 can't get me on the alternate list! Hopefully we will have to go to two orientations!

Heard today some Tomball students have been receiving acceptance letters, so keep a lookout in the mail for those who applied there.. Do you think moco will kill me if I call and check again on letter status!!

Jessi, i dont think so :) They have ppl call all day every day and i think they are pretty understanding..i called the other day to speak with someone about the fast pass and she said people we getting anxious waiting and she seemed just an annoyed letters havent gone out! I dont think itll be back for you to call :)

Are there any prospective Tomball ADN students on here? I never heard what their cut offs were and now not hearing from either campus is driving me nuts!

did anyone else receive an email from NH saying they have yet to email info about fingerprinting/background check?? She said to hold off on that until she sends an email which she will after she gets the info from BON.. so I'm waiting I guess...

I went ahead and paid for my background check and i am getting finger printed on Friday. I have never dealt with the BON so i know that i will need to have both done. I just want to make sure that i have everything done so when i did my social security verification there was a link above it for the background check. I am not sure if i will need to fill out a declaratory order for the BON because the background check results were emailed to me the next day and nothing came up. I went ahead any also wrote a letter to the BON explaining my incidence as a minor with the declaratory order just in case something comes up on their end i want it all to be done.
