Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Applied with an 11.2 and got into my 2nd choice of NH, MOCO was my first choice.

To those who are awaiting response from Montgomery. I just spoke with one of the program directors since I was accepted to the LVN program and asked about ADN notification. I explained how all the other campuses notified students via email, and they told me that they're sending letters out by mail, and we should know in mid-April. This is gonna be a painful wait. :-/

Anyone heard any information about Tomball and if they have sent out acceptance letters?

I signed up for a CPR class. I'm taking it at the Cyfair Volunteer Fire Dept on May 7th. (Incase anyone was wondering where they could do theirs) That's the next available class. It's $35, but I don't have to pay because my husband works there as a paramedic. Score! lol

I would keep bugging then if I were you! I got fingerprinted around the same time, June or July 2012. I had to go to Washington state to get my documents from the court in August and I sent my DO and statement plus all my documents in September. I want to say it took only 4 weeks for me to get a response from them which was in the form of a letter that stated upon meeting the requirements for graduation and payment of any fees I will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX. maybe I was lucky to receive a response so fast I don't know. My incident was so small though it may have an impact on timing depending on what the incident was. If I were you I would just continue to call them! Don't give up!

I just spoke with bon and they said it was under review still. They said they would call me as soon as they know something. All I can do is pray now.

I just got off the phone with Montgomery. She said that all applicants will only receive ONE acceptance letter! If you got a letter from your 2nd choice then you did not make the cut for your 1st choice. The only other letter you will receive is if you are on the alternate list for your 1st choice. Montgomery letters will "hopefully" be going out within the next couple of wks. Good luck to all of you that haven't gotten a letter yet!

It's from 6:30pm-9pm. You do need to call them and tell them you want to attend the class. Then you just give them your name and phone number. That's it! They do have another class on the 18th in the morning if you can't make it to that one.
