Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

U.S.A. Texas

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

Good luck to all applying:)

I really don't know abt that, but some of my friends told me they met questions like "if aldosterone increases what happens" i didn't get that, also I didn't get any question abt the lenght of the eustacian tube.

Chikzy or anyone that has taken the hesi:

Did you have to remember every single physics equation in the hesi study manual?? Were they given in the problem??

Just wondering since there are 30 of them.

Thanks,

SC

HI guys,

I'm confused about the new Hesi portions. Do we have to get a high score in all of the portions in order to get the full 4 points? I know that they only look at reading score before so what is the change for this application period? Can someone clarify for me? Thanks

hope510...

from my understanding...when you take the hesi...they take the average score of your reading grammar and vocab...thats what they count...the average is then divided to 25..and then added to the scores you already have.

math and a&p are tie breakers...

Thanks Louroque. I guess I have to buy couple books to review before I take the test.

im so nervous about the a&p and vocab ..

for a&p...theres just so much info...and theres only about 30 questions...

any help would be appreciated!

hi scarecow, we don't have to take the physics section for lone star college.

hey chikzy how long did you study for the hesi? i was just wondering

I started studying after new year's day.
