Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

Published

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

Good luck to all applying:)

Congrats to those who got their acceptance letters!!! You're on you way now:nurse: :w00t::w00t::w00t:

For the rest of us still waiting try and not be too discouraged. Our letters will come soon we just have to be patient and try not to die of anticipation and anxiety:uhoh21::icon_roll:banghead:

Congratulations!!!!!! I bet you two are both sooooooo relieved and excited :yelclap:

Congratulations to those who got accepted...I am patiently waiting for my letter lol

Wooo hoo!! Good job and congrats to Mont. acceptees!! My friend texted me yesterday telling me she got her letter, and even though I applied there second choice, I ran to my mailbox...all I had was a letter from Sam's Club lol!! Unlike Chikzy, though, I am UNPATIENTLY waiting for some news! hehe! We'll know soon enough, if we can hang on that long! :)

awww congratulations! I'm UNPATIENTLY waiting too! lol. my first choice was NH and someone else said NH wouldn't be sending letters out until the first week of April. Well atleast that is a week from tomorrow! I wonder what the cutoff for Montgomery was compared to last year. I bet that Tomball & Cyfair will be sending their letters out this week. I think Tomball & Cyfair are somewhere between Montgomery & NH in the amount of spots they have for the program so if Montgomery already sent their letters and NH is going to send them out the first week of April, I have a feeling that the other 2 schools are getting pretty close to being finished with their lists. Gosh I hope I get an ACCEPTANCE letter from NH! (or either location hehehehe)

Just curious.... Did mont send out denial letters as well? For instance if Mont was your last choice school would you have gotten your denial letter already? Or do they wait to send them out after?

hey guys, i received my letter from mont and didnt get into the program, but i did get on the alternate's list. does anybody know how the list works? how many people are put on it and how do they go about choosing who come next if somebody chooses not to go to that school? help, thanks

Do you mind if I ask your points. How many points you had to get accepted as an alternate?

hi,

i was put as an alternate with an 11.34. I'm kinda bummed but what to do?

Chicanita, was Montgomery the only school you applied too? Did you list any of the other Lonestar colleges as 2nd or 3rd alternates like Tomball or North Harris? I'm assuming Mont was the only one you applied to?

Actually, i had montgomery as my 1st option and then north harris as my 2nd. I have not received a letter from north harris yet, but it will be the deciding factor. if i am accepted into NH, honestly, i will have no idea what to do. i really want to go to montgomery because it is only 2 minutes from where i live, but then again i'm risking not getting into the program because i'm an alternate. i'm kinda scared to make a bad decision. what should i do?

Oh well you will get into NH then. :) A spot will probably open up at Mont for you though. Fingers crossed. A lot of people get accepted to BSN programs and give up there spots. I hope it works out for you.
