Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

That is such BS that you had to go through all of that just to get your scores forwarded!! Well at least they're trying to help you now so hopefully someone will get off of their butt & get busy. It's so frustrating in this high stress time of applying, to have to tell people how to do their jobs. Thank God it will end soon

Oh it all got taken care of yesterday! I got a callback around 1pm for my cc info and the lady who called me told me my transcript would be sent out the same day.... big difference from Ms. Givens' note of a 3-5 day processing period! The manager I spoke to cc'd me on all email communications from her team and my transcript was mailed out at like 3 yesterday.

Today I got a call from lonestar mont. nursing department. The lady told me that she was sending prospective students' information to board of nursing and she wanted to verify my visa status with me. The call didn't provide any other information, butit feels good when u hear that they are considering you prospective student. This helps a little while playing the waiting game...

Nicerubio---- GEEZ what a hassle you had to go through to get your darn scores transdered..... I mean good grief!!! I truly get impatient with hassles like that --- I just dont have any patience for it---- I am glad that you finally got resolution though

I lost my patience with them. It was funny how quick my request was made once I told her that there were forum posts regarding their employee's "timeliness". I just hope that the hassle pays off for me and I get into a program either at Lonestar or HCC. :heartbeat

It would be nice if we only had about 2 more weeks left of waiting!

I am with you---- i hate having to go there with people--- but sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do.......

I REALLY hope that they werent serious about the END of April and that we find out in just a few weeks.......................That would be so wonderful!!! My current job has some really crazy folks and everyone is always arguing! I can't wait to fiind out if I am "in".......... That way when they start stressing me out I can SMILE and say to myself WAIT TIL I AM GONE.... I will be moving on and you all will be in the same ole mess... Having a little secret like that ALWAYS makes things more pleasant to deal with .................

Stayfocus I am truly hopeing that your father gets better soon. I know how hard it can be to stay focused in school when you have a family member who is very ill in the hospital. I will definitely be praying for your father and family.
