Lonestar 2011 ADN Hopefuls

Published

I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?

Good luck to all applying:)

She said letters should go out by "mid April"?? WHAT?!! Everything I have read and been told says the 1st week of April! I simply don't think I can wait any longer. LOL I know last year people started getting letters the last week of March, but I think that was from Montgomery and Tomball campuses. NH sent there's out the 1st week of April.

I'm sorry Peyton I didn't mean to make you panic! I think she just meant that by the latest you should have received your letter by mid April, since they are supposed to be sent out the first week of April. I am also hoping we get ours earlier too. God, wouldn't the last week in March be great?!! But not likely for NH applicants.

Last week of March would be awesome!

If you can take the drive, I took mine at Tomball bc they were not offering it at the Cyfair campus last semester. It was mainly online, and the exams were open book.. however, the questions as you probably know were not straight from the book, but application. It wasn't so bad.. I made a B surprisingly! lol. Good luck

I agree the answer were not easily

Found in the book.. You still have to

Read the chapters and know where the

Info is because you still need to have

A good understanding.. Keep in mind that

Most of the question are scenario based

Questions...

I think the alternates only take the spaces of the students who got accepted but declined the offer.

Hey does anyone know how often you have to get your titter? When do you have to actually get your background checked?

thanks i really appreciate...i am thinking of taking it in NH this summer i am also taking micro and nutrition this semester so that will take my mind off the acceptance letters LOL.

Chikzy

You have a very busy schedule...

Good Luck on your classes and on

The pharmacology class.. No worries

You will do GREAT.. And yes you don't

Have no time to worry especially taking

Micro... LOL

stayfocus thanks, what campus did you apply to? NH is my first choice and montgomery is my second choice. I also applied for LVN and i got an acceptance letter, so am just going to hold onto the LVN until i get an acceptance letter for the RN.

Your so welcome.. I applied at NH first choice

And Cy-fair second choice

Chikzy,

Where did you apply at for the lvn program? When did you get your acceptance letter? I thought lonestar would send out letters after they received all applications. How many points did you apply with? Sorry for grilling you, but I applied to the lvn program at cyfair and kingwood today so I am super curious about your application & acceptance!

I'm curious to know if someone who chose NH as their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th choice will be considered before someone who chose NH as their primary school if their score is higher. I don't like this waiting already. :uhoh3:
