Lone Star Spring 2011

Published

Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again.

I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?

If you look back on this board there is a comprensive list of all our scores it is around page 87 or so. To be honest the closer you can get to perfect the better off you will be.

My sister says Toronto, but to be more accurate we are from the city of Mississauga Ontario. Since most people don't have a clue where that is we just say Toronto.

lol...yes I know what you mean. We both know Mississauga pretty good. My girlfriend had lived in Georgetown and Milton. Loved shopping at Square One and Sherwood... :)

Wow! I had no idea that you had to try to have such a perfect score. Well I tried to get the perfect score but it didn't quite work out in my favor. I think an 11.57 is a pretty good score. I am nervous enough as it is waiting for the acceptance letter and now you just made me even more nervous with your statement above. I am still praying that I will get accepted regardless.

Well I see your point I didn't mean to come off that way. I thought you were asking in anticipation of applying. Sorry I didn't mean to make you more nervous goodness knows. Its just that I have spoken to alot of people wanting to apply and they really didn't know how crazy competitive it is to get in and for instance only concentrated on their reading Hesi and not the math portion...or didn't realize having a B in those three darn classes could undo you. I apologize.

:) Oh and by the way your score IS an excellent score.

Someone asked if people with 11.652 are getting in. My husband got his letter in the mail today (he got a 94 on the math...so anyone with a score higher than that doesn't need to worry!).

Weirdest thing is that I DIDN'T get a letter yet! I can't imagine why one letter would come all the way from Texas to Chicago but not the other??

No problem at all. We are all going a little nuts right now. The anticipation is killing us that is for sure. Thank you.

That's GREAT! I'm sure you are in too. The mail system is wacky. Hopefully your letter will be in your mailbox tomorrow. :)

yes the mail system is crazy here...something I have to get used to!! Last semseter I recieved a letter from school ...and my husband got his letter from school like a month later. Really strange!!! try not to stress!! You have a great score!!

Ok. Just checked my mail. I got a letter. It says I am on the alternate list. A little bummed about that but, that means I still have a chance. So, I guess Kingwood is sending their stuff out.

Wow! Kingwood was your first choice?! So, that must mean that their cutoff is close to what CyFair's is!! Unbelievable!

I really had this feeling that the cutoffs were going to be really high this year. Should've retaken my HESI.
