Lone Star Spring 2011

Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again.

I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?

I called last week and they told me 2 weeks then. This is really frustrating me. They could at least be honest about it, rather than playing with our emotions. Just a little common courtesy from them would be nice. This is important to all of us and they act like it's not even important. Ugh!!!

Don't worry I am just as unhappy with this situation. I have not called, that isnt my style...If they don't come soon I will drive down there and get in someone's office, until I get a definitive "it will be in your mailbox on such and such date Mrs. X". People come clean when you are standing there looking at them, it is obvious they are giving us a pat answer no matter when we ask. Again I guarantee you we are all very serious students and top of the top, as far as the student population goes and we deserve an answer in a timely manner.

Still no letter in the mail for me... I really wish I could find out if I am an alternate or not!!!! What the heck is taking so long????? So many other people have already received their letter, what happened to the 2nd batch? This is driving me bonkers!

Sorry to hear that you have not received any notification at all. Did you choose KW as your second choice or did you only apply to Cyfair? Well I think I will concentrate on my other classes, my family and work for the next few weeks. My obsession with this website and the school website is making me nuts! Good luck to all that receive acceptance letters from this point on...I'm taking a much needed break.

I agree destinedtobea I am taking a break too because I am getting a little irritated, better I just focus on my other classes now. Congrats to all who know already and hopefully the rest of us will be "in the know" soon!

OMG this website is making me nuts! It doesn't help when I have OCD and I keep coming back to check this website and Kingwoods website. I hate the waiting part, this sucks. I hope to God I get accepted into Kingwood or I am going to need a straight jacket! I am going looney tunes lol!

80 accepted is good considering someone on an earlier post said that 5 days before the deadline there were about 100 applications. Really curious to know the outcome!! Pretty good news if that was an accurate number of applicants. So excited for everyone!

destinedtobea- I am going to follow in your foot steps and stay off this site for a while!!! I need a break from all of this stress... it is affecting every aspect of my life. I am not as good of a mommy or wife when all I can think about is when my letter will get here and what are the cutoffs. Good luck to all Kingwood applicants and the rest of us Cy Fair hopefuls that still don't have our letters!

Oh and yes I applied at both schools... Cy Fair first choice and Kingwood second choice. Kingwood would be a long drive for me, but I am willing to make the sacrifice.

My brother and I are both are applying for the RN program at Kingwood. We are from Toronto Canada but we have lived here almost 31 years. Were still not used to this heat lol......

My sister says Toronto, but to be more accurate we are from the city of Mississauga Ontario. Since most people don't have a clue where that is we just say Toronto.

Hey everyone, so from what I'm reading from the past replies... Kingwood cutoff has usually been 11.5 and 11.4 for Cyfair? I'm standing at a 11.3 right now but probably will retake the HESI to bump up my Reading score (I have 82.61% right now). Where is everyone else standing in right now for their scores? I know it's much more competitive for Spring so I just wanted to get a feel on what I should be aiming for.. I'm so nervous I'll be declined by .1pts!

I am applying for the spring program at Kingwood. I have a 11.57. I hope to God that the cut off is 11.50 and up or lesser then that. We all need to do some major praying that we all get into the program. Good luck to everyone!
