Lone Star Spring 2011

Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again.

I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?

My letter did not have a stamed on date, it just says mailed from zip 77433, no date kinda strange. I requested FB as well...laura

Congrats to all of you who received admissions into Cyfair and Kingwood. I am currently finishing my prereqs and will be applying to Montgomery in the spring. I saw a lot of people asking about apartments and wanted to offer my services. I went into real estate to help support family while working on getting into nursing school so I know the market pretty well. If anyone wants me to send them some rentals to look at I will be more than happy to, it does not take anything from me. I just want to help out if I can. you can reply to this message and we will figure out how to get in touch.

I sure hope so. I called yesterday and was told by V, that the letters will be going out within the next two weeks. I want my letter now! lol I remember the mixed feelings I had about my acceptance into the lvn program. Excited and sad because I missed having a competitive score for the rn program by one point. I pray this works in my favor. Good luck lapwill.

Thanks good luck to you too. Yes that's what I was told today because I want my letter also. I wish someone would just tell us STRAIGHT FORWARD ANSWER!!!........I am really hoping to get into the evening program I wonder how many people want evenings?

Not sure about evenings. I would like the morning or afternoon classes. My preference is afternoon because I am not a morning person. I know what you mean about straight forward answers. I introduced myself and commented that I know their phone lines are ringing off the hook. My question was pretty straight forward and I accepted what she told me. I wish they had their website set up like CyFair's. I said I was going to stay off thi site but I cannot do it. I am excited for those that have received their letters of acceptance and praying our letters will be mailed real soon! :)

I think it depends on when I can get childcare if I go in the morning or evening (that is my next big hurdle, was waiting to see if I got accepted before I searched for a daycare). I have a 15 month old and my husband goes full time to Sam Houston. Gosh I hope someone will watch him, I hear it is hard to get into some daycares.

Coaches is a sports bar on Jones Rd and 290. Cool place... I've been there a few times and I like it!
