I really wish there was an info session the week of July 12th!

I do not yet live in Texas but am coming down to take the HESI and look at homes with my husband. I've only been to the state one other time and it was a long time ago so I'm curious to feel the heat/humidity everyone talks about! Am pretty bummed there's not an info session that week...ohh, well, I guess there could be worse things!

When is everyone who hasn't taken the HESI planning on taking it?

Tomorrow's the day!! Is everybody ready?

Unfortunately for me, I have to wait until the last minute. I need to get one more credit posted to my transcript before I can apply. The class ends 2 weeks before the deadline. I hope that will be enough time and they post grades right away.

I am going to take the HESI probably next week then I will know what my final score wil be. I'm getting super excited! I just hope that the next 6 weeks don't drag on and on while I wait until I can get my app in.

What will you all be doing to pass the time until we know if we are in or not?

Kyla, I will also be waiting until the last minute. I have to finish the micro refresher course and wait for my certificate. fun fun. I will be busy w/ Pharmacology, work, and enjoying every moment with my little girl :) before October rolls around.

I'm so spoiled right now, b/c I actually have time to do things I enjoy instead of study. Micro starts in a couple of weeks, so will be back to the grind shortly.

I will be turning my application in sometime this month! I start Pharm on the 15th and doing Micro in the Fall so that will keep me busy before we find out! I'm taking my CPR class in a week or so and then turning in my application. Oh ya, and I'm going to the information session tomorrow! :)

KYLA--I know that for this current semester the classes are over on July 13th and teachers MUST have grades posted by July 15th...so I highly doubt you'll have a problem with the grades not being up in time!

I am going to apply next week when I am in Texas and am planning on taking the HESI sometime mid-week.

I think last year they mailed out the letters by Nov 1st...that's a long time to wait! I am due with a baby in August and I have a 14 month old so I'm hoping that will make the time go by quickly!

Good Luck everyone on the HESI. :D:D Can't wait to start hearing everyones scores.

Yay for babies! Congrats! I'm sure the time will just fly right on by for you.

My class doesn't start until next week (the 15th) and ends two weeks before the deadline. I wish I was able to take it during the first session but there was just too much going on.

How long will you be here for this trip? Are you guys coming here to find a house?

bugalove - wow! You are going to be very busy when August rolls around! How exciting. The humidity is at its best right now, so you will go home with a glow on your face Are you looking at homes in the Kingwood area?

Michelle - I'm counting down the days until we start micro...12 more days, but at least we know what to expect with this lady...and it's 4 weeks - can't beat a 4 week review.

Can anyone find the application on the Kingwood website? It says to "visit the website to complete and submit your application online at http://www.lonestar.edu/nursing-dept-kingwood.htm" but I don't see a link or anything.

Oh! And I just finished all of my shots, so I'm really excited I don't have to go wait at the health department anymore! :lol2:

Nevermind...I found the link on the CyFair website. It fills everything out for you on your score sheet. That makes it a lot more real seeing all of the numbers. Eek!

What shots did you end up having to get? I don't need Hep B. I need to look over all this stuff, grrr.....TB is done as well. I had all my shots as a kiddo, but I'm assuming we need to redo them.
