Kingwood people: Just spoke with Nickie Loftin and she said Kingwood does NOT require proof of insurance for their clinical sites. So we will not have to upload any.

Congrats to all who were accepted!
**If there is anyone here who was accepted to KW for Spring 2020 and may be in need of scrubs, scrub jacket or misc. books, Please let me know. I'm a recent graduate! ?

So I've been reading the comments and I see that there are other students that are in the same boat as me. I was chosen as an Alternate for the Spring 2020 ADN program (Kingwood and Cy-Fair). I just want to know my chances of getting in. To stay on top of everything in a timely manner, I've already completed my background check (received my blue card in the mail), have ALL vaccinations and TB skin test (negative), and have medically confirmed IMMUNITY to MMR, Varicella, Hep-C, and Hep-B. I just don't like the waiting game. At this point, I will be grateful for an acceptance to either school.
My grades for english and AP were both A's.
My HESI scores were NOT competitive at all...
My overall score was 7.296/8
Does anyone know the chances of getting accepted or have insight on what's next?

Hi! I was accepted into the ADN program at Cy-Fair and it literally is just a waiting game. Make sure you have everything done by the due date just to be safe. We just got our emails for CF bootcamp and its not till January 7. If someone doesn't show up to bootcamp, they are immediately forfeited by the nursing program director and an alternate will fill their place. You could literally get a call a day or 2 before classes start. Ive heard some alternates getting a call the day school starts. For CF, if someone doesn't have their documents submitted by December 1, they will also be forfeited. It could be anytime in December or January for you to possibly get a call. Good luck!
Congratulations to you for getting accepted and thank you for the heads up on everything. I'm staying on top of everything and I've been emailing someone from the Cy-Fair program just to make sure that I don't make a silly mistake and become disqualified. I just hate this waiting game. I plan on attending the orientation at KW in a few weeks. I want to better my chances with either school. Were you waitlisted ? Or were you chosen immediately? Isn't the boot camp for those who are accepted and not waitlisted?
