Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough.
The deadline is slowly approaching!
Is everyone getting excited? I think waiting for that email was the longest wait of my life! You are all capable of succeeding and being accepted into the program.
I don't want to scare anyone, but getting in is the easy part...
Does anyone have any questions about the program or need advice for anything?
Hi! I am applying for the spring 2017 program at cyfair, but I also want to apply for kingwood. Does my application automatically go to kingwood when I apply or do I need to also send a hard copy to kingwood? My points are a 6.5. I don't know if that's enough to be accepted. Does anyone know how to look what the average score is?
thanks for all the help!
After having all of my classes completed for the BSN of nursing, and a GPA of 3.85, it breaks my heart to realize I was so close to make it to nursing school. Unfortunately, I did not pass the Math section of the HESI, my overall score was 88% because the rest of the test I made it in the 90's. My A&P section was a 90, my critical thinking 950 and the rest was ranging between 92 to 98, but during the last section (the Math part) I made a 64 í ½í¸“í ½í¸”.
I was completely heartbroken!!! I ran out of time, and I had to guess the last 15 questions, I concentrated on the A&P and critical thinking part of the test, instead of Math. I learned the hard way, and I will try again next round of applications. But for now, I wish everyone the best! Good luck and stay strong!

Honestly, the A&P section is a little tricky. Reading just the study guide is not enough. There were questions abt the ear and the eye that I did not see in the book. I would say study all the topics in the study guide in addition to the eye and the ear. But then you don't have to go into too much detail. Know the different hormones secreted by the pituitary gland and what they do for example. The major bones and muscles. Some of the stuff was basic knowledge like what is histology. I wish I could give u more detail... I'm sorry. But after going through this forum trying to figure out how to pass the A&P sections, that was the answer I got all the time: review all topics without going into too much detail. In addition to the study guide, I watched these videos on YouTube by anatomygmc. It helped alot. I also had this app on my phone called pocket prep. From time to time, I also did practice questions and studied the flashcards on quizlet. Just type hesi a2 on there. I did these every day until the day of the exam. Hope this helps.
