  1. I took it under Lone Star community college, I was too afraid to test under UT's code. I'm not even attempting the TEAS test, I have heard it's way too hard, more than the HESI. Due to my low score on Math, I can't apply anywhere else until I pass that section of the test. I can only go to school in Houston, I'm a mother of 3 active kids! And I'm also working at a dental office while attending school. I'm completely done with my BSN prerequisites, everything is done, I even took pharmacology for nursing and my GPA is really high. I'm definitely going to study harder for the Math portion, keep reviewing and practicing until I can do a good time on the Math section, that was my biggest problem during the test and I ran out of time, I had to guess the last questions. I'm thankful regardless, I think I actually have a shot at this, I just need to keep studying. I did really good in the other sections. I was heartbroken but I learned my lesson.
  2. After having all of my classes completed for the BSN of nursing, and a GPA of 3.85, it breaks my heart to realize I was so close to make it to nursing school. Unfortunately, I did not pass the Math section of the HESI, my overall score was 88% because the rest of the test I made it in the 90's. My A&P section was a 90, my critical thinking 950 and the rest was ranging between 92 to 98, but during the last section (the Math part) I made a 64 . I was completely heartbroken!!! I ran out of time, and I had to guess the last 15 questions, I concentrated on the A&P and critical thinking part of the test, instead of Math. I learned the hard way, and I will try again next round of applications. But for now, I wish everyone the best! Good luck and stay strong!

  5. Could you please let us know what is the schedule? The hours? Thank you
  6. I also want to know the information!
  7. Me too! I ordered it on Amazon, I'm excited to receive it.
  8. Wait! I thought you could send your scores to any school you wanted through the Elsvier's website, you have to pay a fee and wait a couple of weeks. I'm also a LSC-Kingwood student
  9. Thank you everyone for sharing your experience and helping others. I will be applying to UT-Houston for their Nursing program and I am really nervous, I finished everything as far as my classes but I left with 4 B's (unfortunately) two of those on my hardest classes, Medical Microbiology and Chemistry. The rest I have all A's, I am hoping I can score really good in the HESI and be able to have a good chance to get into the Spring 2017 semester. Wish me luck! I get terrible anxiety while taking tests and I am also ADHD. Hopefully everything would work out in my favor. Please send prayers and positive thoughts I am scheduled to take my HESI test at Lone Star Community College at the end of July.
  10. You're going to have to contact the school directly, and explain to them your situation. I'm not sure what they will say, but there is a waiting list and I'm sure they're all waiting for a chance. Good luck and keep us posted!
  11. Do we need the Biology section and the Learning styles to apply to UT-Houston??? They didn't mention those sections at the information session. Please let me know? Thanks!
  12. I am in the process of doing the same thing. I like to give myself some time in case it takes a little longer.
  13. A drop of advice; The sky is the limit! Keep on moving forward and reaching out for the stars, live your life to the fullest and follow your heart, your dreams will become true. Good luck in your journey, don't waste another minute, your time is now.
  14. Congratulations to everyone! I had a wonderful semester as well, I made four A's in A&P II, Lifespan, Math, Nutrition. I have 4 more prerequisites left to get into school for my BS in Nursing.
  15. You should definitely go to law school if you have a passion for it. No one can make that choice for you, but yourself. I know a couple RN's who went to law school and landed great jobs here in Houston. If you decide to go to law school, make sure you have a high GPA, good recommendations, and be on the top 10% of the LSAT's. Like everything else, you have to work hard at it and have really good grades. The jobs are available at least here in Texas. The good schools are available and the pay is so much better than staying as a nurse. But ultimately it will be your decision on what to do for your future.
