Hello! I have my second interview for the nurse family partnership this Thursday and was hoping someone could provide me with examples of interview questions they have had when interviewing for an RN Position with the program?

Hi, can anyone tell me what the average pay would be for a BSN nurse with one year of experience as an RN and a year of pct experience in Asheville ? Does the hospital pay highest? In or out of hospital job does not matter to me- just wanting to get an idea of what I would be looking at. thanks!

So this may be a silly question so bare with me. I graduate with my RN in May of 18 in IL. I plan to move out of state but am trying to decide timing and where I want to get my RN-BSN. My question is- I know I want to move out of state at some point, does it matter where my BSN is from/if it's from a different state that I get liscned? Or is the only thing that matters is my RN liscensure? I know you have to transfer your liscnese to a which ever state you move but is the BSN statues okay no matter which state your in? It's like any other bachelor degree status? I just want to make sure before I plan anything. Would hate to my BSN in IL and find it i should have gotten it in the state I moved to. Thanks!

For me living comfortably means being finicially independent, afford a nice small house (since it's only my son and I), be able to afford to dine out once in awhile, perhaps even private school for my son (not sure how public schools are out there). I would say your definition is pretty on point to what I would consider living comfortably. Be able to afford a decent car. Have bills paid off. I don't have any school debt yet but if I did be able to pay those off releativly quickly. I also love the outdoors which is why I'm researching living out there. Sinclair to you, I also am interested in the non hospital jobs, such as Nurse family partnership. However with being a new grad I know hospital experience for he first few years is invaluable. Can one still maintain a comfortable lifestyle on non hospital nursing salaries? I know it depends on the job but in general? Once again I really appreciate your input!! Thanks for your input. I have been looking st housing in Vancouver and it seems reasonable. I am assuming WA pays around what I would see in OR. I feel hopeful after hearing your thoughts. I was worried you wouldn't be able to live comfortably on a nursing salary in OR. I'll look into peace health. I would love love love to work at OHSU

Thank you for your reply! I have looked at housing and have noticed that it can get expensive. I live in a northwest suburb of chicago. Given the information you provided I will wait to relocate until I have my BSN. Which will also give me time to work as s nurse and get some experience. Is Vancouver close to OHSU? Would I still get an Oregon RN LISCENSE since I would still be working on OR and living in WA? I really appreciate your input!

I am considering Asheville because I have family there. I am also curious if they pay increases with a BSN vs Associates at Mission Health. I know some hospitals require you to get your bachelors but will not increase pay once having it. I graduate in May with my RN and trying to decide if I should relocate at that time to ashville and get my BSN then or stay in IL for the following 15 months while getting my BsN then relocating.

I am looking for information on Nursing Careers in Ashville NC. I'm finishing up my degree in IL and was wondering what salary is like for Nurses in Ashville. Are there good employment opportunities? Do you find it's hard to support yourself on a nursing salary in Ashville and live comfortably? I'm a single momma and hoping I can live comfortably on a nursing salary. I need suggestions. I'm currently a nursing student and am struggling to hear from my littmann classic iii stethascope. I have a slight hearing problem and think I am going to have to purchase a nicer one so I can hear. I need suggestions between the cardiology stethoscopes and he master cardiology? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I know I'm a student and most say don't spend he money but it's affecting my patient care if I can't hear. I also have considered the electronic ones but think that may be overkill. But at the same time maybe I will have to get it down the line. TIA!:)

I will be starting my second semester and would appreciate some thoughts on the books I should purchase vs. Rent. Money is tight but I would like to purchase the books that I will use beyond my school years. Also, I already took pathophysiology but rented the book. I'm afraid that i could use that book so curious if I should go back and buy that book? She said I had a complaint and that staff/family shouldn't be complaining about the apartment how the apartment looks after you work. (I'm pretty certain it was staff who complained and this isn't the first time she had complained and it was unfounded). She then wrote that the apartment should be clean, garbage out and the clothes laid out for the next. All of which I do! So I was wondering if I had a right to know what exactly the complaint was so I can make sure it doesn't happen again. When I asked her what the complaint was she said she couldn't tell me. Is this true? How am I suppose to make sure it doesn't happen again if she doesn't tell me?
