2017 Lone Star ADN Hopefuls

Published

Hi there!!!! So I have been reading the "Hopefuls" forums from previous years and decided that it is time to start our own. I believe that this is a great way to support each other and compare our HESI scores. So here we come, all of the Lone Star students who are planning on applying for the ADN program please share your scores. I am applying to Kingwood for the spring semester 2017. My HESI score is 7.45 and I am a little bit worried that this could be not enough. :sorry:

Does any have a link to download the application forms for applying to the LSC CyFair Spring 2017 ADN program

James, do you know where we can download the application forms for Spring 2017 program

Hello. I just completed the Hesi A2 and passed with great scores. I actually took it yesterday. Will post my scores later. I have an A in A&P and an A in English. I do know that my points are at 7.64. I intend to apply to Kingwood and Cy fair. I hope I get accepted...

Hi James I have seen you in couple of threads, just want to say thank you for being so kind as to encourage us hopefuls. I won't be applying until 2018 :( would love to hear what exactly about Kingwood you like.

I applied to Cy-fair and Kingwood for Spring of 2017 because I was rejected with a 3.5 GPA from a BSN program of my choice. I have a score of 7.58 and am really hoping this will be enough for me to get into Cy-fair. Thoughts anyone? Do I have a good chance of making it in? It is really pertinent for me that I find out where I will be going because I already have 60 credit hours toward a BSN program and need to begin doing something somewhere, otherwise, I will need to just pursue a degree in Microbiology.

Hello everyone, I've just finished taking A&P I and ended up with a B. I will be starting A&P II this Thursday and will try my hardest to receive an A. It's so good to see all of your awesome gpa's and Hesi scores. I wish you all the best of luck on getting in and through the nursing program.

Usually you can find a link to the application by doing a Google search for "Lone Star College ADN program". There should be a page that shows all of the requirements to apply, along with a link to the online application.

The Kingwood program is great because all of the instructors are renowned for their skills in education. It has some downsides, but the good outweigh the bad. Once you get in and you're adjusted, it's smooth sailing.

Popism123,

Be optimistic :-)

Having all of your pre-reqs for your BSN is great. You get to relax during the summer semesters!

barrereb,

You will have to provide documentation of the Hepatitis B series along with all of the other required immunizations after acceptance.

You get a very LONG to-do list :-)

@JamesOakes

I am naturally pessimistic. But do you think that score is anywhere near competitive or within a range that is usually accepted. What was your score upon acceptance

Popism123,

I know the scoring for acceptance has changed since I applied. I believe now it is on a scale from 0-8. Following previous posts, your score sounds competitive enough to be accepted.

When I applied, scoring was based on a 12-point scale, and I had an 11.6.

80 students are accepted! You have a great chance.
