Do you guys mind sharing what kind of interview questions they asked for the OR? Im interested in applying next cohort.

Hi, I was surprised by how light the interview was for me. It was just the typical tell me about yourself, why you want to work for us, and why OR and just chatted about the program!! Good luck with your application!!

I was asked:

Tell me about yourself.

Why do you want to work for OR?

And then each manager/director of each location provides a brief description of their location. And at the end, they ask which location are you most interested in (Children's, East Campus, Medical Center, Surgical Center, IDK if there are more I forget)?

Just as an FYI, standby pay for on-call is $6. ?

Hey Yumi, is it $6/hr or base pay + $6/hr?

Just $6 an hour on standby. Then 1.5x base pay if you actually have to report to work.

Just wondering if anyone from Norcal planning to accept offer? I still debating just because the pay is low.

Regardless, the pay will be lower because it's in SB county. I've heard good things about Loma Linda. The NorCal market is pretty saturated and not as many hospitals in that area. I would accept the job offer, get your year or two of exp and negotiate for higher pay in NorCal.

Hey guys,

I accepted my offer verbally but I haven’t gotten any updates on onboarding process. Hoping everyone else is in the same boat? It’s been almost 2 weeks or am I just overthinking it since we start in august? Thanks to anyone reading!

I’ve received my offer via e-mail just this past Wednesday with a text to inform me of the e-mail. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be able to start since I won’t be able to sit for my NCLEX until after the deadline.

I accepted my offer verbally and received an email and text about a week after to “officially accept” it on my job application.
They called me a day after saying HR will contact us beginning of July to continue with the hiring process.

Because they’re at the deadline to choose all their hires for this cohort, maybe they’re rushing and a little behind? I would call and ask to be safe since it’s been 2 weeks already.

Hey! Is anyone accepting their offer in the surgical/trauma unit?

I would ask the recruiter about your current situation. They are very understanding and will speak to the director on your behalf. It is on a case-by-case basis, so I am sure they may make an exception for you.
