Yes, from my conversation when I got the offer, on-call pay is time and a half base pay (x1.5).

Not sure honestly. Going to think about it over the weekend. Does the pay increase after a year? Does 1.5x pay for on-call include the time you’re sitting at home waiting? Or 1.5x only if you’re actually called to come in?

Honestly, I think I will because OR is something that I always wanted to do, and as a new grad and even an experienced nurse, it is hard to get into the OR without experience.

Pay does increase after a year, but not sure how much. And the on-call pay, I should have asked. Did you get an offer already?

I did. They called today, but I didn’t ask about on-call pay as well. I sent an e-mail with further questions and the on-call pay was one of them. I will let you know when I hear back.

Do you guys mind sharing what kind of interview questions they asked for the OR? Im interested in applying next cohort.

I’m not sure about the others, but I was really only asked why do I want to work for the OR.
