To those of studying for NCLEX - don't worry. Been there and done that. If you trained in UK. you are more than ready.

To britmess,

How long since you took the NCLEX, I do a lot of studying especially Kaplan books they give an awful lot of exam strategys which most are good. How is or did everyone study and how many times did it take you to pass?

Nice to hear how and what everyone is doing out there in nurse cyber land. Keep in touch everyone.

Hi i am due to qualify in Feb '06 (not long to go :uhoh21: :uhoh3: ). Before i started my training I was a care assistant for 10 years. After leaving school at 16 i got a job in a nursing home; after that i worked at chelsea & westminster hospital on the childrens ward, and then to a community hospital. Nursing is all i ever wanted to do, but it's taken me ages to get here (hopefully i won't get kicked off the course :rotfl: )

Hello all,

I'm based in London, i qualified as an RN in 1998, prior to that i did Maths in University, so i did the accelerated RN course. I worked in PACU straight afterwards and did both the Recovery and Anaesthetic ENB courses.

I left full time Nursing in 2000 to go into IT and I currently work as both an IT consultant in the city and a part time twilight PACU nurse. Oh.. i'm loving it too.:)

Forgot to say i'm 33 going on 34, feel free to call me old. LOL

Would never go back to the NHS. Have two girls 18 and 24 years both sorting out their own careers, love hill walking and at the moment sleping cause i'm so tired............
