  1. Thanks for your replies. I have tried during working hours and no luck. I have, in the past, been able to speak to one of the consultants regarding my application and we have exchanged emails. The problem is every thing seems to have shut down. Yes it is regarding the board and the only contacts i have is through the board. Thankx once again
  2. I have been trying to contact one of the nursing consultants since last month but no luck. Any help please? I rang the admin office during working hours and it's a voice mail saying to call between 0800 and 1700 hrs. None of my six emails to four different people in the department has been acknowledged. Any ideas anyone please? Thanx in advance.
  3. I don't see a problem in having foreign healthcare professionals as long as they meet the standards and they practice safely. No need to feel guilty, you do what feels right for you.
  4. If you can answer Suzanne4's questions then maybe someone will be able to give you an adequate advise, also, check the links silverdragon102 posted.
  5. Totally agree. As previously stated in my earlier post, patient care is primary and nothing should compromise that. I hope you all re-trace your steps back to read that post. If people do keep their affairs out of work though, i don't think it's my cup of tea to be honest. Of course if it affects their work and patients' care then action will be taken.
  6. From my little experience, i find nursing as a profession very rewarding, maybe not financially, but in other ways. I have the opportunity to do something else and i can assure you that the grass is not greener on the other side. The good nursing job exists when you have a good team and you can work together without the bickering and chit-chat. If you are really interested in nursing go for it. I'm sure alot of people here will be able to reflect on the good side of nursing. Just like everything else, you have the good days and the bad days.
  7. My advise will be to confront this person in a solvent manner, explaining the importance of having a good working relationship and you do find her over powering sometimes. Unfortunately some people act without actually being aware of damages they cause to others. If you are really certain she is a bully, you can invite an independent person to be present when you have a chat. This will cover your back in case she decides to turn the tables. Good luck.
  8. Good luck SarahBrown, i'm sure you'll find a good team to join, like everyone else had previously said, unfortunately there are bad apples amongsts the good apples but with more people like yourself voicing out, the bad ones hopefully can be weeded out or converted. Once again best wishes.
  9. Bluetooth capability can be used with supported GSM/GPRS phone service. The dialler function will allow access to numbers straight from your contacts. Multimedia and text messages can also be viewed and sent through the PDA. With extra memory added I think you can also add a GPS to the PDA either wired or bluetooth enabled. Enjoy it. :)
  10. IT then Nursing. I'm happy to be able to combine both. For me, the job satisfaction I get in Nursing out weighs all. :)
  11. Whatever i do in my spare time is my business. If i decide to 'bonk' the director of nursing out of work, who is to raise an eyebrow? As long as i do my job effectively. That is my point. I don't accept relationships affecting patient's care, but the moment they are out of wards/unit
  12. The honest truth is once i'm dead, i'd be more concerned about what awaits. Hell or heaven.
  13. Well said that man.
  14. I hope it doesn't veer this thread off as i neither have the intention of starting a gender war nor hijacking the thread. If it'll make everyone happy for me to re-phrase the sentence in a simplified english language, I'm more than willing to do so. :) I personally think it will take a wild cat to do that. Again my humble opinion.
  15. I like that, but Pam : 1: I hope the supervisor will be smart enough to sack him on substantial grounds that his work is appalling or he is in breach of his contract. 2: I don't think the jury will believe she had to do much convincing to lure him into her bossom. :) You can force a horse to the river, but you cannot force the horse to drink. No matter how obliged a man feels to do what a feline demands, the law of nature prevails. 3: I reckon this has been going on for a considerable amount of time, not a one-off, hence, not an harrassment more like a sexual favour. :chuckle
