Is Travel Nursing Difficult?
Just wonder if any of you travel nurses could please describe a typical travel assignment. I have heard that travel nurses get their housing provided plus extra pay. Any details or personal experinces would be appreciated. Thank you!

Book learnin' don't mean a thing...
Congrats for passing! Your posts have really encouraged me because I am 38 and am just starting to pursue nursing. I get overwhelmed too and I guess it is nice to hear I am not the only one! Keep up the good work Cara!

i hate my nursing job
Could you give me some of examples of jobs that are NOT hands on nursing? I have heard there is so much variety, but I would like to know something specific. Thank you!

Best Quality
What is the best quality a nurse needs to have? A caring heart? Ability to work under pressure? Patience? Intelligence?

Are there any GOOD nursing jobs out there?
I have been hearing alot (and reading on this board) how unhappy nurses are due to short staffing, low pay, lack of support from management, and I thought "gee, sounds a lot like teaching!" If the nursing profession is as bad as teaching, (the average new school teacher quits after 3 years) then I don't want to pursue it. So can anyone tell me where the good and happy nursing jobs are, or don't they exist?

LPN and NCLEX
Thanks everyone for your info!!

LPN and NCLEX
Do LPN's have to take the NCLEX--or just RN's? Or do LPN's just take their state board?

Tuition Remimbursement
What is the best way to find out if a hospital or LTCF will pay for your lpn training? Call the hospital direct? Or contact the state board of nursing?

Adn Or Bsn
Hi, I hold a bachelor of science in education. I want to pursue nursing and am wondering if I should go to LPN school, then keep on and get my ADN. Someone said I should try to get a BSN. How much longer would it take? Is it to my advantage to go the ADN route?

How long to obtain ADN?
I already hold a bachelor of science degree in education. Would it be possible for me to complete an ADN in LESS than 24 months? Or would it still take that long because I would have to take all the clinicals? (I know I will have to check with my school to be sure) Thanks!
