Linfield Spring 2021 Cohort

Hi y'all, I haven't seen a post on the Linfield 2021 Cohort application so I thought I'd go ahead and create one. I am kind of nervous about this application because I have a little bit of experience (about 3 weeks) working as a caregiver and I have not completed all the prerequisites (I have one Chemistry class in progress which I am taking this Summer term). Here's my stats so far: 4.0 A&P series, 4.0 science lab courses (Microbiology, A&P series, nutrition, Chemistry/biology), no volunteering experience and 2 references from professors. I am kind of scared that I would not get selected about of these reasons... would you guys mind sharing y'all stats also?

Thank you for that bout of confidence! Yours is really good as well! And I totally get it. I just applied to Linfield but I'm going to apply to OHSU for their Fall cycle. How about you?

Same here buddy! OHSU is super competitive and I will definitely need some healthcare experience before applying! I kinda like the 2 year long program though so I think that’s the only advantage Linfield has over OHSU.. do you know by any chance whether Linfield offers good scholarships? The financial part also plays a role..

Yeah I know it's definitely challenging to get into OHSU. I definitely agree with that, I prefer the 2 year as well. Im sure there are some, I know the cost is steep at Linfield. I have a buddy who went to their nursing program and I'll see if he knows anything about scholarships offered

I haven’t... I read the posts from last year and it seems like they heard back on the 21th

I haven't either, but I read them and saw that too (Sept 21st). So I'm hopeful maybe by Wednesday we could start getting decisions? Just because the 21st in 2019 was a Wednesday I believe. Fingers crossed!

Anybody has any idea when we can expect to hear back? Seems like it’s not gonna be this week...

I keep holding out hope it'll come this week LOL but doesn't seem like it. Maybe next Monday?

Hopefully!! Maybe this COVID thing slows thing down..
