  1. Congratulations to all who got in! Anyone receive an acceptance from the BSN-DNP program?
  2. Yes. I interviewed on January 31st and I was told that they would have a decision by March 1 but that it could be earlier.
  3. Update, I got my official letter! Good luck to everyone and I look forward to meeting you in the Summer!
  4. Hey guys, I applied to the PMHNP DNP track (I already have my BSN). I logged into the portal randomly this morning and there was an update. It's a "post-accept checklist"which has me send all my official transcripts. But there is no official acceptance letter or anything. Does anyone else's portal look like this? I don't want to get my hopes up but I'm a bit excited.
  5. Hey everyone! I recently got accepted into the PLU PMHNP DNP program, and I'm super excited to start this next chapter! Anyone else out there who's been accepted? Would love to connect with others who are in the program or starting soon! It would be awesome to share tips, ideas, or just some encouragement as we get ready for this journey. Looking forward to hearing from fellow future PMHNPs!
  6. I decided to make this for future applicants wanting to get into this program. My biggest advice is that you should NOT care about other people's grades. Majority of people do not have 4.0s or a really high GPA. I didn't but I got in. I had personal problems that hurt my transcript. My A&P is a 3.6, my science GPA is a 3.4, prerequisite GPA is around a 3.45, and my overall GPA is around a 3.4. It is all about how you present yourself. Yes grades matter and you should strive to do the best you can, but not getting a 4.0 doesn't make you any less capable. I can guarantee that there are people reading this and thinking "how did she make it in??" but I don't care. I know that I am not my transcript and you aren't either. There are people that have extremely high GPAs and would make terrible nurses. I have about 700+ hours of work and volunteering experience, and got two nurses that I am close to to write kick *** letters of recommendation. Work with everything you have. If it's meant to be, you'll get it. Honestly, I would recommend not even looking at these threads. All it does is psych you out and make you doubt yourself.
  7. Im in! Can't wait to meet you guys!
  8. Really? It doesn't say that anywhere on the application though. I got mine from nurses I've worked with. Hope that does not knock any of us that didn't do that.
  9. Has anyone heard anything?
  10. has there been any rejection emails?
  11. Thank you for that update Adrian! I have one more question. Are admitted students still going to be called?
  12. By next year, I mean the next school year (our cohort).
  13. hey @adri.aco I was was wondering if the pandemic affected the class size for next year?
  14. Hi all!! I got my invitation to the proctored essay this morning! I was wondering if anyone knew what exactly to expect?
  15. Hi all! This is my first time applying to the program and I am really nervous but also excited! Does anyone know what the criteria is in order to make it to the proctored essay? Thanks!
