Linfield College, Portland - 2016-17

Hi, I just applied to Linfield College in Portland, OR. Are there any former BSN students from these places? Or others who just applied? Would love to connect.

I have also read that Linfield is not strong in clinicals - is this still true? As a graduate, would you still recommend the college? Any info would be super helpful!

I just applied for the Summer/Fall spots too. Haven't heard anything yet, I'm getting anxious about that. I have a friend that is currently attending Linfield and I think he's really happy with it: he doesn't feel like he's missing out on anything.

Hi Crange and bonjour! I am a fellow applicant for the current cycle.

Do you either of you know if our applications are also considered for the accelerated program if we already have a bachelors degree? I assumed it was all the same application but now am worried maybe I missed something?

The wait is the worst, and we still have a long way to go!

I was just reading the FAQ page today to remind myself of some things and I saw the answer to your question. If you have a prior bachelors you automatically are considered for both programs, if no prior degree then only the regular program.

And i I was also told today that they will definitely send out responses by 4/1 but they may let us know sooner. Waiting is killer!

Yes, I heard from my contact there and she said they send out replies by April 1st, but mail them earlier if it's possible. So, hopefully we can find out soon!

Do you guys know if they will be notifying us of admission status by "snail mail" or via email? I really hope they send out decisions early! Are any of you being considered for the accelerated program?

The contact I have there said they will send out responses early if they can. She said "mail them" so I'm assuming that means snail mail? On the edge of my seat waiting!!!!!

I applied too and am waiting so impatiently! The only contact I've had from the school is them asking for the syllabus of the class I'm currently taking. I applied for the accelerated program!

I'm getting impatient too! It's leaving me too much time to think about the costs of these programs if I get accepted.
