Linfield College, Portland - 2016-17

Hi, I just applied to Linfield College in Portland, OR. Are there any former BSN students from these places? Or others who just applied? Would love to connect.

I have also read that Linfield is not strong in clinicals - is this still true? As a graduate, would you still recommend the college? Any info would be super helpful!

So i just recieved my letter today. Got on the waitlist. Does anybody know how Linfields waitlist works? like how many people on it etc? Hopefully you guys get letters soon!

Canon what area do you live in? Are you on the wait list for the accelerated or traditional program? Congrats for making it as an alternate :)

I don't really know how many people are on the wait list, but based on previous years threads, admission has been able to provide students with an idea of where they fall on the most.

I just got my letter in the mail yesterday that I am on the wait list. Curious to see how many people are on the list.

I got my reply yesterday - I didn't get in. 😥 Though my contact said that I had a really competitive score and it was only because they had so many pre-nursing students start the program. She recommended I apply again for the spring.

Sorry I don't know how the wait list works but I would go ahead and contact the nursing administrator to find out more info. Congrats on getting to the wait list!

Just curious, do you all live in Oregon? I live in Washington and normally mail gets here in 1-2 days, but my letter didn't come today. I was just wondering if I might need to call in case it got lost in the mail (although I really don't want to....I'm afraid of my reaction if I get bad news on the phone :/)

I've heard that the letters come out in waves. So, the good news is that everyone should be finding out soon since some people have already received them. :) I live in Portland, OR and have not received a letter yet and I'm hoping to get into the ABSN program.

Yeah, coming out in waves sounds most likely if someone from Cali got a letter already!! Maybe it's alphabetical....My last name starts with T, so if it is, then I'd probably be one of the last to know.

Hi guys! I was also put on the wait list for Linfield - they didn't specificy which program although I am hoping for the ABSN. I've read on previous threads that people generally call or email the admissions office to find out where they are on the list - anyone planning on doing that? Good luck to all who applied and for those already on the wait list - my fingers are crossed!!

I got my letter today and am on the wait list, as well. I was also hoping for the accelerated program. It was unclear whether the wait list was for the accelerated or traditional program.

I plan on calling admissions tomorrow :)

When I asked admission a while ago, they told me they will notify everyone by April 1st. At that time I had already declined 2 other ABSN programs in NE and MA. I really want to live in Portland and my fiance is relocating there. I hope I didn't wait this long and declined other ABSN programs to find out that I've been rejected by Linfield. Sigh...the waiting is torture! Good luck to the ones on waitlist, hope you will get in.

I live in California and I haven't received any letter. Those that received rejection, is it email or mail?

I got mine in the mail. Good luck! I want to live in Portland too! I guess I have to wait to apply for next spring now.
