yes!! it is a year program. however it just strarted, so you know their are a LOT of flaws in it.. there really is no acceptance policy.. all you have to do is take the Net test and get a 55% or higher and have a high scchool diploma or GED. The good thing is that they accept for new classes all the time.. (they have a new one every 3 months) however the biggest thing is that they are soooo expensive.. the program costs $22,000. please PM me with anymore questions cuz i have a ton of answers for you.. i applied their, got accepted into thier first class and then turned it down because i got into a RN program at another school. (yeah!!)

Just let me know if you have questions.. and good luck

thanks so much for all the info! how long ago did this program start?

also, how much is lpn school usually? $22,000 does sound like a lot.

thanks once again!

Have you checked with the Burlington County Vocational-Technical High School? They used to have an LPN program there for post high school education. It's been many years, but it may still be there. $22,000 seems like a lot for a year's worth of education. Good luck.

the first class started in June.. and there are new ones that start every 3 months.. you are better going to Camden County Colleges LPN program.. it takes longer (2yrs) but they are working on an agreement with their two RN programs ( Our Lady of lourdes and Helene Fuld) for dual admission..

I got into Our Lady of lourdes program. Also, that fee is high.. the admissions lady at Lincoln Tech told me, she thought it was high too. She tired to say that this fee is justified since it encompasses all your fees, tuition, books, and uniform ( Lab Coat, stethescope, and schoes) but still , i think $22,000 is quite high.. and i was told that if you want to extend your goal to become an RN these type of ptrograms are not looked good at when triying to do an LPN/RN program... the admissions dept at a lot of RN programs said that these technical institute school programs are not good as they are over priced, and the education is not well developed.. they are more interesting in getting you out in the force for further education that educated you for the workforce ( this is the standard comment i got from almost all RN programs in the state)

Morris County Technical School also had an LPN program. I think 22K is really expensive! What kind of location were you hoping to work in? Not sure who hires LPNs other the LTC.

Good Luck

I Want To Find A One Year Lpn Program, Then I Would Go For Lpn To Rn Online. Morris County's Tuition Is Much More Resonable But It's Very Far From Where I Live.

Thanks!

thanks so much! did you also speak to online lpn-rn programs? i really want to go to a lpn program for one year and then do lpn-rn online.

after you told me about the price for lincoln tech, i looked into other programs and i found them to be about $6500 including supplies and fees- thanks! i'm still looking into them....

Have you checked into Camden County Tech's program in Gloucester Township? It's about $4300 for out-of-county residents. The next class starts in April 2008. Call them to see if they still have any spaces available. Here's the website:

http://www.ccts.tec.nj.us/TI/Course%5FListings/full%2Dtime/alliedhealth/

It's a small program, but all 22 of the graduates passed the NCLEX-PN in 2006.

Here's where you can see all the NCLEX and NCLEX-PN pass rates for NJ:

Good luck!

hello i am currently attending this program and i advise all to stay away!! i wish i was warned about this school prior to its more about the money, they fill clases every 3 months and only have a hand full of teachers, so thats means self study 6 hrs a day

If you truly feel you are not getting an acceptable nursing education, you can complain to the NJ Board of Nursing. Here's the info off their website:

"Inquiries or complaints may be forwarded to Mr. George Hebert, Executive Director, New Jersey Board of Nursing, PO Box 45010, Newark, NJ 07101, (973) 504-6430."

I am so sorry you are unhappy with your program!

Hi sweetie,

I just got accepted to the paramus campus lincln tech program, I honestly agree it is very expensive but you also have to look at the fact of the convenience of the schedule especially the new evening program and the new demand for LPN,depending on the area that you live in your pay will be compensated for that, I live in NYC and Big name hospitals, assisted living, nursing home and agencies pay excetional to LPNs over $23 an hour and then once you work for a year as an LPN you can get any shift especially doubles on weekends and go to RN school during the week, so if you really think about it, it can be worth it especially if you have a family to feed asap while you work on your RN part time or full time. But I do agree that if the price does not suit you, keep looking arond I researched and there are alot of LPN programs but it is sometimes alot with admisions to get in like over 3,000 applicants and only room for 25 in a class so pick and choose wisely. Good luck:nurse:
