I think it's human nature to find people who think the same way as you and agree with you, likeable. Partly because it appeals to one's ego and partly because you "understand" the other person's views.
But I also find that individual's whom I agree with on some issues but disagree with (sometimes strongly) on others, are often the ones I find intellectually stimulating and who present the opportunity for growth and "broadening of one's horizons". I mean, sometimes they're just plain wrong (in my errr.. humble opinion) but I think it's a good idea to listen to other people and put one's own assumptions to the test. There are quite a few really smart people on this site. Plus, I appreciate a good debate :) (even on occasion, some rather futile ones
)
I actually appreciate/like most regular posters here.
I don't block people that I disagree with or find annoying and I've never reported anyone/anything else than the occasional spam post (buy your own brand new BMW after two weeks of .easy peasy work).
(Why, oh why... does it always have to be a BMW.. Those scam artists are imagination-challenged).
My philosophy is simple; ignore foolishness or question/challenge it. (Of course what constitutes foolishness is mostly subjective/subject to interpretation ) But don't take it personally, after all it is the internet. It's not worth getting seriously
over.

Ahhh so it is your fault I didn't see the post on how to get a BMW for easy peasy work and am still driving a clunker!
I haven't been here very long but developed my online skin on a horse board I spent years on.
I never block, the crazies are easy to ignore and I feel no need to block someone due to disagreement or un-likability.
Likability and trust/respect/credibility can be exclusive for me.
My first impressions of others tend to stick but I'm not rigid about them.
Not sure how I'm viewed.

Well I really like what you say and for some reason thought you had been around longer. You are a good fit I guess. :)

Perhaps because I don't mind agreeing to disagree but something I really enjoy here are the times when someone I previously thought was a dope says something I think is smart and they are moved from my imaginary dope to my imaginary sharp list. :)
Throughout my life I strive to keep an open mind so I don't miss something profound. There are some people here I have "known" for years, respect and think I would like to work with and might even enjoy them as a friend. There are others who I wonder how they manage to tie their shoes this morning let alone pass NCLEX but again I continue to keep an open mind and very often I am pleasantly surprised.
Do you change favorite posters here or are you consistent with who you appreciate and who you aren't so thrilled with? Does anyone block members? My curiosity would never allow that, lol.
