Nurses Men

Women are a tad on the irrational end during menses. *picks head up off the floor*

Never, ever ask a woman if it PMS, nurse or not. It probably is not. Many male nurses seem to get UNDUE respect and accolades just because they are men--no other reason. Perhaps, the women you think have PMS are just treating you the way you deserve to be treated and you are not used to it. As more men go into nursing, men will be treated more appropriately and men will actually have to have more on the ball than just being male. I wait for the day.

Wow JennieO, that was pretty harsh. I resent the fact that you say men get undue respect as nurses simply because we are men. I don't recieve nor expect any extra respect or accolades simply because I'm male. I recieve and expect them because I'm good at what I do and I'll only get better with experience...that's what I have on the ball.

And I would never ask a women if her mood was related to PMS, my Momma didn't raise no fool.

Jennie, ouch. Theres not a reason in the world that my instructor should have yelled at ME instead of the student she was actually mad at. Not one. The girl didnt give her meds on time (3-4 hours late) and afterwards DIDNT sign the MAR! Thats in no way my fault yet the teacher felt it OK to yell at ME to find this girl whom she knows I am not close to. According to you thought that is justified and just what us men "deserve." Then again, some women just hate men for being born a man. From your post it sounds to me like this could be you. "Undue respect, youre just being treated like you deserve to be, I wait for the day," sigh.. I get respected because I know what I am doing and my preceptors and instructor know this.

it's no fun for her to be completely out of control, either.

completely out of control??? this can't be safe in a clinical setting!! hahah

i really shouldn't have said this, but it is in good faith... just a joke... splitting hairs. i decided to go ahead and let my hormones control me this time. lol

Lol @ sperm retention headache ;)

Iv'e heard that after menopause women become more like older men hormonally, because as mens testosterone levels go down and womens estrogen levels go down, they become much more alike.Women sprout chin hair , while men lose head hair.Fair is fair. All that angst of the young, phooey, who needs hormones anyway?

Men accuse women of PMSing more often than women use it as an excuse to dismiss/explain irrational behavoir.

Anytime a man has a confrontation with a women, it MUST be because she is having PMS...it can't possibly be a result of his wrongdoing.

I usually leave this forum for the men...it's their territory, but I had to comment on this one!

Much can be learned from Tweety! Keep your thoughts about women and their PMS/menses issues to yourself...because MOST of the time, it's You..NOT her...or PMS.

Peace out!

Starting to sound a bit more sexist every post. I expected it though.
