  1. I am glad to know I am not the only one Vicky, that's awesome... you have WAY more on your hands than I do and you are doing BETTER than I am!! life IS good
  2. Very true... and thank you. I do take a multivitamin every morning and I have been making a list of things that your body likes and does not like as I progress through my A&P class (lol I am going to stock up on vitamins, healthy food, etc. and email the list to all of my friends and family so they can know what is good and bad for them!! lol). I don't have a study partner, I am glad to help people (actually I am meeting with someone to help them today) but it seems like no one other than the professor can answer my questions... so groups just seem to hold me back a bit because the ones I have met with just seem like "the blind leading the blind"!!! Don't get me wrong, I am going GREAT in class... because all I do is study lol. The good grades drive me and the bad ones kill me. Good idea about the eggs... I can put them in a bowl, nuke 'em and have a quick source of protein!!
  3. Yeah, I guess it depends on what "fine" means to you. For me I settle for nothing less than an A and that's what I consider fine, but it is definitely possible, just remember to ALWAYS read ahead.
  4. Haha you guys are great... Hopefull, thanks for the in-depth advice, I really got a lot out of it (and I love the salad idea!!). AN.com is a major source of stress relief. I feel great this morning Casi, "I can sleep in 3 years" hahahahaha Once again, you guys are awesome.
  5. Does any of this sound familiar to you hard working pre-nursing students!?? 1.) Absolutely NO social life. 2.) Sleep is not a source of stress relief anymore... I find myself studying in my sleep (seriously, I repeat things over and over and can't get a good night of sleep; I wake up feeling like I never went to sleep) 3.) Haven't done my laundry in FOREVER, I am down to my plain white tees and buying new briefs from walmart on the way home from class since it takes less time than actually doing the laundry!! 4.) Losing weight because I don't have enough time to cook well rounded meals; living off of nutri-grain bars and bottled water b/c it is quick. (not a good thing; only 135 lbs and 5'8... feel like I will blow away in the wind.) 5.) Spend my down time scheduling my studies. 6.) Losing touch of emotion. 7.) Losing my sense of humor. 8.) Lost any kind of tan that I once had. 9.) Rescheduling dentist, doctor, etc. appointments for the end of the semester b/c it buys me some more studying time. 10.) Losing my 20/15 vision, all I look at is computer text and of course textbook text and now I can barely read things that are far away. 11.) Friends don't call b/c they already know the answer to "Hey Jon, what are you doing tonight?" 12.) Doing more random good deeds in hopes that it will help somehow! lol THE LIST CONTINUES!!! Very disturbed... but for some reason... it feels good. I am taking advantage of the opportunity I have been given. I never knew I could push myself so far, I am proving to myself that I can do great things ... I am becoming a machine. The payoff will be great in the long run. Oh yeah, thank God for family... they are truly supportive and I owe them. Currently listening to "No Quarter" -- Led Zeppelin... WOW :gandalf:"YOU SHALL NOT PASS"... lol Gandalf.
  6. Still waiting here too... not expecting to get in bc I still have some courses to finish... But I think it's not so bad; if I don't get in I will take some classes that seem interesting. Going to take a class about "death and dying"! Might as well go ahead and prepare!
  7. i'm taking A&P 2 this summer... no job, no other classes.... I would definitely consider not working. I am struggling to hold an A in A&P1 right now, but I hear A&P2 is easier and more interesting. I have no life now, and I plan on having no life this summer. Have to do what you have to
  8. Sorry, I meant "harassment." Being only 20, I am not experienced with butt pinching in professional settings. Lol Why do you think these women fail to be concerned about the fact that it might bother you? Do they pinch other guys butts? How about other ladies' butts? What kind of relationship do you have with those who pinch your butt; close friends, random coworkers, potential mates? Do they know whether or not you are in a relationship with a significant other? I wonder what their actions signify. Maybe they are attracted to you, maybe they do it to bug you, maybe it is a complement, etc. I just want to know why they assume that this is appropriate, assume that you wouldn't mind, assume that you would or would not take it as a come-on, assume that you would consider it just "good fun". I understand that it doesn't bother you, but I just wonder why they feel that it is appropriate. (Personally I wouldn't fight it either lol)
  9. very interesting, i agree
  10. You are right, but I think what I was trying to get at was in terms of after completion of all prereqs. and admission criteria. I was wondering if after they have completed all of the necessary criteria, if it was still as competitive as nursing school (or if it is not so competitive, at that time, since most of the weaker ones have been weeded out due to the extensive criteria). From what I have read on here, I guess it is still very competitive at that point. In other words, many people finish the prerequisites for nursing school, but due to the high demand for nurses (and in turn, the long waiting lists) many of them have to pursue a short term career until they are accepted. And I did not know if this was the same case for med. school students (again, in terms of waiting to get in, not b/c of incomplete requirements but b/c of the large number applicants with relatively few spots). I should have been more clear about what I was asking, but I was not trying to compare the entrance requirements of med. school to those of nursing school... just the level of competitiveness b/w applicants who have satisfied all requirements. I think I am being very redundant, but I hope I was more clear this time.
  11. I can see it now... I am going to get pinched and get startled and my reflexes will take control... next thing you know I am in jail and out of a job for elbowing a little old lady in the face. It will look like I am an abusive, little old lady hater since no one saw the pinch, yet everyone saw the broken nose! JK lol:lol2: But really... I wonder if the admin. would seriously consider female pinching male a case of sexual abuse... they might just laugh and pinch your ass as well and say "don't take things so seriously, hun... consider it a reward... now get back to work" If I got a nickel for every time a female pinched my butt, I might have 15 cents or so... but I would still be broke.:selfbonk:
  12. I am in the same situation... I think I will do what texas angel said. This will almost be a plus... b/c that will mean that there are fewer courses to complete before moving on to the BSN program. This makes the rejection a little less dreadful for me. p.s. I am supposed to hear by May 2; quite a wait.
  13. Thanks laura. I wish I could have had that site 2 days ago!! lol Thanks for the advice/site

  15. Starting to sound a bit more sexist every post. I expected it though.
