Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

Ah are you one of those people who needs a physical copy of all textbooks?

The pdfs are going around now for free.

The pdfs are going around now for free.

Most of the textbooks were under $5. As far as PDFs, I do not have a device to read them on, and I do not want to bring my laptop to class. And yes, I would prefer "working" with an actual text I can touch, highlight parts of, and, if needed, to write notes in.

did you guys receive a text message to confirm an advising appointment? I got a text message during orientation for July 24th at 4pm. I'm guessing she will give us our schedule during the advisement appointment.

Advisement for what exactly? I wasn't told we needed to go. I thought we were getting our schedules through email, which I still haven't received.

I am wondering the same thing. She repeated a million times that we would get the codes and clinical information, hopefully, by the end of the week (last week). I have not heard from her yet as well.

Maybe for new transfer students who haven't taken any classes at Lehman..?

I'm not really surprised that the emails weren't sent out last week. She seems to be inundated with tasks. Hopefully everyone who's already handed in all of their forms will get an email this week or next week at the very latest.

Do we have to hand in all our forms before we get the email? I thought everyone would be getting the email regardless of who turned in their forms.

It's unclear how things are done in the nursing department. It would make sense to take care of people who already handed in their documents first. But it's probably in some random order.
