Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

I purchased only one book so far. I won it during an ebay auction (another option if you're into that kind of stuff).

I haven't purchased my uniform yet but I will in a few weeks. I agree wih @Alyrap. Make sure you look at the chart and make sure you measure yourself. I'm normally a S/M in the hips but the chart says I'm an XS. A little extra space is fine. It'll be good for when winter rolls around. You'll be able to wear a thermal shirt or something else underneath your top (if needed and allowed).

Has anyone else received their top from Do e apparel? I got mine the other day and it fit perfectly. In normal clothing I am a small- medium, but ordered an XS based on the chart. Make sure you follow that because it'll likely tell you a smaller size than your normal size.

Question.. how long after you submitted your order did you receive it? I placed my order yesterday but it seemed like it wouldn't be shipped until the 13th. Maybe I'm just misreading... I ordered a XS as well and I'm hoping it fits well.

Oh yeah they made it seem like it would be a while but it was extremely quick. I ordered the 12th and received it the following Friday (the 22). I was very worried with how mine would fit but it turned out just about perfect.

Hi everyone, I got accepted to the generic program last week. My stats for the record: Science GPA 3.66; Hesi overall 90 and CT 900.

I also ordered my top size XS. Can I ask you where are you looking for shoes and pants?

Id love to collaborate on this with others if possible. Definitely want to be prepared before the semester starts. Have you gotten any of the textbooks yet?

Hey, there! No, I did not purchase any textbooks yet. I am waiting to do so after the orientation. Also, I am thinking of renting them. Buying them will cost an arm and a leg! However, I did buy a few things that will supplement the material. For example, I bought Mosby's Pharmacology Memory Cards. They are amazing so far! Very compact (can be put in a pocket) and very visual! I think it will be a great study tool. Also, I have been researching some study guides for pharm all over the net and I was able to find two documents. So far they seem ok.

I am going to buy pants at a local uniform store. As far as shoes...thats another story. I am very picky about my shoes and I do not like anything clunky or ugly-looking.

I got mine off of amazon. They were like $10 and great quality. See through though.

I did read either in the orientation packet or student handbook that shoes must be white.

As far as shoes, I also wonder would they care which brand/designer we buy from? I mean, Reebok, Nike and Adidas have cool looking white shoes.

I bought white pants from wearfigs.com Januu also sells nice ones. I bought white slip on shoes leather from keds and vans off the wall
