Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!
I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!
I received my acceptance at 1:44pm on 6/11.
I'll use the template @CN101 created:
Accepted/Rejected
Program (generic or accelerated)
Science GPA: 3.9
Hesi cumulative score: 92; Reading: 88, Math: 96, A&P: 92, CT: 850
Cumulative gpa: 3.664
My acceptance was sent to my personal email so make sure you check there if you're waiting for an acceptance! Good luck to everyone still waiting.
Since you went in did they give you any info on the status of your application?
Trust me I understand the frustration. But that is what they are telling me that they are going by. She checked if my name was in the pile for today and it wasn't. So it's just a waiting game. Though they go by gpa, the hesi score is taken into the next section to make the decision. And I was told a lot of ppl applied this year. Another note if you applied for accelerated only 30 ppl are getting in. And if you had taken any sciences in the past and retook it to get a better grade they do not take that into consideration. They use your first science grades.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like it wouldn't help to go in and patience is my best friend right now. Thanks and good luck!
So I guess what they mean by "they're going by GPA" is that they're accepting people based on their GPAs first and then their hesi scores second. The order people receive their acceptances seems to be totally random.
30 students to the accelerated program? 6 more than last year. Not bad.

Yes, that is what I meant
Who did you email? And what exactly did you inquire?
I emailed the nursing department asking if there were any problems with my application. Judging by the timing of my acceptance email the email I sent had absolutely nothing to do with me receiving my acceptance. It literally arrived seconds later.
