Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

Here are my stats for the third time, haha.

Accepted to Accelerated

Science GPA: 4.0

Hesi score w/ critical thinking: 88/920. Reading (96); A&P (80); Math (90)

Lehman Cumulative GPA (all classes taken at Lehman not counting credits from first degree): 4.0

Congrats to everyone!!

I'm wondering did you all that received acceptances take classes at Lehman prior?

I took all of my prereqs and Algebra (a prereq for general chemistry) at Lehman.

Yes, that is what I meant

Yeah I know! But I thought Lehman meant that they were notifying people in order of their GPA. That's why I was confused by the fact that I hadn't received an email. Everything makes sense now.

Congrats to everyone!!

Yes. I took all of my pre-reqs (and other classes) at Lehman.

That may be a determining factor? I haven't heard yet but I also never took any classes at Lehman. Only had my transcript transferred.

Did they say they were going based only on gpa? I though it was a mixture of both gpa and HESI scores

It could be. We'll have to see. Were you admitted to Lehman?

No. They said that GPA is what they look at first, then they look at the HESI Score to determine admittance. Someone with a 4.0 and a 90 hesi score will be accepted before someone with a 3.9 and a 94 hesi score. But that does not mean that the person with a 4.0 will receive their acceptance letter first. For example, many people with 3.8s got accepted before those with 3.9s and 4.0s.

No nothing yet :( but similar stats to some that have been accepted.

Still waiting!

Congrats to you though!!

Anybody who visited the office today know how many generic students they are taking this year? I heard last year they took a total of 110 students.

They told me they accept about 100-130 or so. No exact number.
