Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

When is the last day they send acceptance letters ?

When is the last day they send acceptance letters ?

There isn't an exact date. However, they are normally done giving out acceptance letters by the end of June. Sometimes a few people get accepted in July as well. Rare but one person supposedly got accepted in August a few years ago (don't know if this is true or not).

92 both eng + math

76 a&p - passed by 1 point! I know, I did poorly compared to other two sections :(

I am already planning what to do next in case not getting into the program b/c a year gap is too much for me. But I will definitely retake the exam and reapply next year.

Your stats are not as horrible as you think. But they expect the CT to be 800 and above. As long as you get 75 and higher in all subjects. You can always still be hopeful with a high science gpa. They also take have a waiting list for those who do not reply within a certain time and take those on the list. But you can also apply to College of New Rochelle as well, with your stats you will get in.

Hello, everyone!

I applied to the generic program and completed my classes this spring semester. Here are my stats:

Pre-req GPA: 3.79

HESI: 87.33%

CT: 840

Side note: I passed the A&P section by a single point with a 76 (I hope that doesn't affect me)! Only got an 87.33% because I got a 92 and 94 on the reading and math section, respectively.

Congratulations to those that have already gotten in, and I wish everyone luck!

I think your stats are fine. Just believe in yourself!

Thank you! I'll try to calm down a bit. It's a bit hard considering how many strong applicants there are this year.

On another note, I turned in my application pretty close to the deadline and the receptionist told me that there weren't as many applicants this year as the previous year. It doesn't mean much, but I hope that makes some of you feel better like it did for me!

Does anyone know when the nursing department is open? I believe it's Monday - Thursday but I'm not sure of the times.

@HELLO,itsme: thanks for the info. That does make me feel a little better.

CN101 I'm in the same boat as you. 4.0 science GPA, 90 HESI and 950 critical thinking score. I don't know why we haven't heard anything and I'm concerned. My only thought is I didn't take all of my pre-recs at Lehman? Let us know if you get any info from the dept. I might have to go in tomorrow myself (if I can get away from work to do so). Thanks.

Were you able to go in? I've been trying to call the office and no one picks up. Smh.

Hello!

I am not able to go in until Wednesday. I was asking for a friend who wanted to go sometime this week. If she goes today, I'll let you guys know what happens.
