Lehman College 2018 Fall Generic BSN/ABSN applicants!

Published

Hello, everyone applying to Lehman's BSN/ABSN programs for Fall 2018!

I am currently working on my application and will very soon take HESI. I know application period does not start until January 1, but I thought I would create a thread so we could get in touch and support each other on the way to (keeping fingers crossed!) being accepted!

Hi all. I just received my acceptance email around 4:30 today. I applied to the generic program, and did not finish my pre-reqs until this spring. I hope you all hear from them shortly, best of luck!! :)

WTF are they email applicants alphabetically or something?

I have a 4.0 prereq GPA, 920 Critical Thinking and an 88 overall on the HESI.

I expected to get accepted with the first round. Now I am afraid that there was something wrong with my transcripts from my first degree or I did something incorrectly on the application. My last name begins with one of the last letters on the alphabet so maybe that's it?

What the actual f*ck?!

Me too, my GPA is 4.0 and HESI overall is 87, and I know GPA is given a preference, I plant to visit the Nursing department on Monday, although I am happy for the people that got accepted, I was expecting an acceptance letter in the first round considering my GPA

Congrats to everyone who's been accepted!

The order seems so random now. My friend with a 4.0gpa hasn't received an email. I have a 3.9gpa and I haven't received anything yet either. Our last names begin with letters in the first half of the alphabet. I'm trying not to worry about it but it's hard. Maybe they're going by who sent in applications first? But I sent mine in the second week of Feb so who knows?

Congratulations!! Can you share your stats? Thank you!

For all of those who have been accepted, was the acceptance letter sent to your personal email or to your Lehman email? I am starting to get anxious...

I went to the nursing department on tuesday because I saw that people had started getting their acceptances, the advisor told me that those with 3.9-4.0s are the ones who are receiving their letters first. Maybe they're going by the order in which we dropped our applications off..? I'm starting to get nervous.

Congrats to everyone who's been accepted!

As you say its hard not to worry, I cannot recollect when I turned in my forms probably February, but cannot remember which week. My last name is also in the middle of the alphabet. Good luck to all of us.

Thank you!!! I believe my science GPA was a 3.857. Overall cumulative GPA was 3.5 something?

HESI: 88.67 overall

A&P: 80 (not the best)

Math: 94

Reading comp: 92

CT: 820

I believe I handed in my application just weeks before deadline. My last name begins with an R, so not sure what order they're sending things. I expected to hear from them much much later.

My last name begins with a C, I have a 4.0, 850 on CT & 94 on the hesi. I also handed my application in early Feb. I haven't heard anything yet. It's weird.

Doesn't seem to be 100% true. Lots of people with 4.0s and 90+ hesi scores with passing CT scores haven't received anything yet.

I know it's hard not to worry, but try not to. They seem to send emails sporadically, with no specific pattern. Doesn't seem to be based on highest GPA or alphabetical order. For all we know, they may just have a whole pile of acceptances in no specific order and take a certain # per day to send out responses. You will get in!

Maybe someone in the nursing department thought someone else sent out the first round already so they started sending acceptances to the second group? It just makes no sense that none of the 4.0s have heard anything yet. But so many 3.8s have.
