Legacy RN Versant Nurse Residency Program, start date February 23, 2015. I just wanted to post this thread, so that those of us who applied for this cohort can communicate about the application process. Did you apply? If so, which unit and location? Have you heard anything yet? Any idea how many applicants applied this time? I hope everyone gets their unit of choice. This is a very tough program, but seems worth the effort. I want to wish everyone the best of luck!
Valhalla 050, I already had my phone interview. I just wanted to know a timeframe of when we possibly hear back for a second interview
Oh good! I was worried for you. They have from Dec 5th-31st to complete final interviews. The second interview I believe must be in person. Job offers are extended Dec 22nd-Jan 9th. Rejection letters will be emailed the week of Jan 12.
Haven't heard back regarding a second interview either, and I agree the anticipation is almost too much! However, I did notice that my application status on the website went from "application received" to "application under review," not that that means much. So seems like a lot of you have some sort of RN experience, I graduate Thursday so I have no experience,

I think they are okay with no experience. My friend who graduated with me got a job there last summer before she even graduated--she had zero experience in any healthcare work. And then I had another friend who didn't get second interview and she was already working as a RN and had a great gpa. You just never know...

Brighteyes is completely right. Experience truly doesn't weigh very much. Also, a perfect GPA shows lack of being able to handle "failure" and how to adapt well in my opinion. Last spring I made it to the second round, my gpa at the time (from my ADN) was only 3.6 or something like that. This time my BSN gpa is 3.9. I truly don't think it'll matter though. What I think truly counts, is how well you interview. Do you get along with the managers? Are you personable? Do you have the right answers? What experiences have you had (clinical or work)? These are the things that I feel impacted heavily last round. However, I did hear last time that a lot of people had different experiences depending on the unit they were applying with.

I should rephrase what I stated. I already have my ADN and have been working at a sub-acute care facility. I will graduate with my BSN in a week.
