Legacy RN Versant Residency 2015 Winter

U.S.A. Oregon

Published

Legacy RN Versant Nurse Residency Program, start date February 23, 2015. I just wanted to post this thread, so that those of us who applied for this cohort can communicate about the application process. Did you apply? If so, which unit and location? Have you heard anything yet? Any idea how many applicants applied this time? I hope everyone gets their unit of choice. This is a very tough program, but seems worth the effort. I want to wish everyone the best of luck!

The deadline to submit was Monday. I was hoping to get an e-mail that my application was complete, but I haven't heard anything.

I applied a while ago and haven't received an email or anything. All it says is "All Required Documents Received."

Oops just after I posted that I got an email saying I have an interview! I am more than 100 miles away so it will be a phone one. Exciting!

I have an interview, too. Did you see all the e-mail addresses? Holy cow that's a long list of people to interview!

I applied to the residency program and I am from Connecticut. Clear across the country. From what i have read its a needle in a hay stack type shot to get picked for this so apply everywhere!!

Wow, that's a long list of applicants. What department is everyone applying for? My first choice is the ED.

I applied for PICU/pediatrics.

I wonder how many applicants they had to begin with. That's a lot of people they are interviewing. It sounds like a great program though

I don't really know much about the program/hospital. There's not much on their website. Does anyone want to enlighten me?

Each round the program interviews around 400 applicants. The top 50% of applicants are put through by HR into a second round. Nurse managers can choose to interview people included only in the second round (top 50%).

Thank you for your response! What is the first interview like? Just general behavioral questions?

Hello! The interviews are all on November 13th, for in-person. I registered for my interview time today. I am applying for ICU/CCU. How about everyone else?
