Each round the program interviews around 400 applicants. The top 50% of applicants are put through by HR into a second round. Nurse managers can choose to interview people included only in the second round (top 50%).

Are you in oregon?

I am a new BSN graduate as of May 2014 in Oregon. I am interested in the field of oncology. Any advice from the experienced nurses? I am having difficulty finding a job I am qualified to apply for as a new graduate let alone an oncology position.

I did not get to continue on. I have a BSN and passed my nclex in 76 questions. The gentleman who interviewed me informed me that my first interview was the best of the day and that I shouldn't be worried because he was very impressed. However, the first interview and any other achievements don't matter until you get moved by the selection committe to the next round. I I have a 3.4 gpa so I believe that hindered me from being in the top 50%. I wont be applying again because I have a feeling the same thing might happen. I have a strong faith in God and believe that this means I wasn't meant to have this job. I trust that amazing nurses will get selected and serve legacy patients well. I hope you all do well in the next interview!!!

The interview is just a piece of the puzzle. The proctors of the interview write comments and evaluate how you answered question then put that information into your file. All jiggering managers in any department then have access to your file and request an interview. It might be awhile before we get an email confirming if we do or don't have an interview because of the amount of applicants. Trust that your hard work and passion will get you the job where you are meant to be. If not this job it will be a different one.

My friend said the same thing about her peds interview. This is however call backs for the second interview. Each person has a chance to get the one spot. Keep the hopes up!

At the interviews she stated we would get a mass email sometime this week. I wonder if that is for people who didn't get the second interview and for people who did or just if you didn't. I also thought people would get calls before the 18th. Hopefully we will know either way soon. When you get a call or email start posting.
