Legacy Health Residency, Portland, OR

Published

Just wondering if anyone else had applied to Legacy Health (Emmanuel Children's Hospital)? This is in Portland, OR. It closed last Friday and I am wanting to know when people start hearing from them about interviews. Thanks for any info you have!!

Has anyone else, other than the friend of the poster, received a phone call?

I still haven't been called...

I'm wondering if I should bring anything to this interview. I've brought along a portfolio for each interview I've had with other hospitals and so far, that's done nothing for me. For those of you who have applied before, did you bring anything with you, other than your resume? Papers, evaluations, letters...?

I know it's sort of a dumb question, given that we sent everything in with our application...but still. You never know what action will work in your favor...

I got the phone call & have an interview scheduled. Another friend of mine got her interview scheduled yesterday as well.

lilred, do you and your friend,or anybody who got an interview have a BSN or ADN? I haven't heard anything yet and still hoping. I know I am qualified, but I have an ADN and getting concerned that they might starting cutting off ADN this program, not next as somebody mentioned earlier in the thread.

We all have ADNs. Two of us just completed our senior practicums at Legacy this quarter. One of our classmates spoke with someone in HR and asked if they were planning to exclude ADN RNs from future residencies and was told that this was not the case. However just to be on the safe side, I am transfering to a BSN program right away to make myself more marketable. ;)

Hello, I'm glad to say I got a phone call to schedule my interview today. I'm a nurse with an ASN, so at least for this round, we're still being considered.

Since I'm in northern California, my interview will be by phone. I'm hoping some here who went through the last round over the summer might share what sort of questions to expect with the pre-screening interview?

Cheers!

I got a call yesterday! They wanted to schedule me for in-person but didn't realize I was in California so they said they would call back in a few weeks to schedule a phone interview.

Melissa Mears RN did you get a specific date for your phone interview or did they tell you that they would call back to schedule? And where in NorCal are you? I;m in Sacramento, went to school in OC and having trouble finding a job anywhere!

BTW, I have my BSN and applied for preference in Peds. Any advice for the 1st interview???

I got a call at 4 pm today, so they are still calling.

According to the FAQ sheet, they should continue calling throughout today.

I still haven't heard anything either, so I'm really hoping I hear something today. I have an ADN and know I met minimum qualifications and sent everything in. However I do live in AZ, so I wonder if that might be working against me. We'll see! Congrats to those of you who have scheduled interviews so far! Keep us posted :)

Maybe they're going by alphabetical order. Yeah, that's it!
