Lavender?!

Published

How many of you have grown to love Essential Oils as much as I do?:no:? I just had a student come and ask me if I have any "Lavender'? I knew it was probably some Essential Oil. But, I played dumb, and asked the student what it was. But, that NO I didn't have any, nor would I ever have any. I asked him who sent him to ask...He said the Mrs. SoandSo sent him. He showed me a few small scabbed, burned areas from something that occurred over the weekend when the student was too near the stove when dad was cooking supper.

Sorry buddy... no...never...not ever. :banghead: :banghead:

Oh, good grief. Did the student interrupt your meditation pose just to ask you for one of your many essential oils??

Yes, the essential oils are bugging me right now. My daughter's new math teacher is all about 'em. She comes home with a headache every.single.afternoon from whatever he's burning in class that day and she says she frequently can't ask questions because he'll suddenly stop and go into a yoga or meditation pose and zone out/tune out the entire class.

Wish I could do that in the clinic.

Oh, I'm so relieved this is sarcastic.

Oh good grief. That is taking it waaay too far. I haven't perfected my yoga pose yet. Maybe over Christmas Break, I can get that done. Sorry for your daughter's headache. There must not be a school policy about keeping crap out of the air that could possible not agree with students or other staff.

Yep, my essential oils are neatly stacked next to my acupuncture kit and smudge stick. Of course I can't reach any of them because of the frequent out of body trips I take throughout the day.

Honestly (don't throw anything at me!) i use essential oils. But on me and me only!! (ok, occasionally on my own kid too) But i would be throwing some serious attitude to anyone that would come into my office and expect me to oil up their kid. Nope - ain't gonna happen. Not gonna do it. I don't generally run a diffuser in my office during student hours.

I think they smell purty and my wife adds stuff to this little lighted boiling cauldron on the dresser but it's way beyond my imagination that rubbing some kind of oil on a kids feet would have any effect on ADHD. Maybe colonics though :Ghost:

I'm hiding behind the door with Flare. I started using them this summer and now use them all the time on myself and my kids. They objected at first, but now they come to me and ask - "mom I got a stuffy nose, can you oil me"? LOL Lavender took the pain away when I burned myself on my hair straightener. Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't tried it myself. Now would I dare put some on a student?? Never. Nope, not gonna do that. Even if I think it would work, not gonna chance the parent back lash or an allergy or reaction. I'm not into yoga (can't even touch my toes!) but as for me and my house - we oil!! :)
