Weren't some of those earth shoes similar to Birkenstocks? Those come in white. I never wore them myself, so I may be mistaken in what they looked like.

I've seen some at W-Mart, too.. called "Earthshoes"... but can't help but wonder if they are really the "original thing"... ???

My earth shoes didn't look like the ones on the site...mine were brown, rubber soled and they tied with a thin corded type lace. I LOVED them...I was stylin, as they say haha

My old earth shoes from back in the day had a toe sole thicker than the heel sole, but they were soooooooooooo comfy. These do not look like the originals, but wonder if it is the same company or just a copy cat???

The ones sold at Walmart are not the same negative heel shoes. The new ones are supposedly better than the original in the way of comfort and durability. You can find the new and original versions on Ebay very cheap. Search under "Kalso" or Earth Shoes.

those are exactly what I was talking about. I liked the stlye of them back then, my tastes have changed. I wouldn't wear that style now..just me.

I have some of the new Wal-Mart Earth Shoes, they are my favorite sandals ever, so comfortable! Of course, I was not around for the 70's Earth Shoes, so I have nothing to compare it to...

I just got a catalogue in the mail with real Earth nurse shoes! You can find them at http://www.cottonscrubs.com. They are not cheap, but I have horrible feet, and these have been the best (even better than my Birkenstocks, which is saying alot!).
