Langara College Jan 2016 Intake

Hey guys! The deadline is quickly approaching for the Jan 2016 intake and I am already getting nervous and anxious. Especially after reading how high the GPA was for the fall 2015 intake. My GPA for the 5 credits is 3.18, so it's not outstanding and I'm quite nervous. How is everyone else feeling?

Do you know if your friend had a Bachelor's degree when she applied with a 3.44? Mine is 3.47 and I have not heard anything

I have also been waitlisted!I was wondering if any of you know how many people they waitlist?

I am waitlisted for fall 2015 and spring 2016 with a 3.33 gpa.. i think you have to have 3.5 gpa now to make sure a seat is offered.

My friend has a GPA of 3.47 and she got in! So I believe the cutoff is 3.45!

I was initially waitlisted, with a 3.33 GPA. I have a bachelor's degree, however they didn't take that into consideration when they assessed my application. I had to go in person and speak to the person who made admission offers. I made sure I got accepted into the program before I stepped out of her office lol

Hi everyone!!!

I got waitlisted for fall 2015, and when i applied for spring 2016 i got waitlisted AGAIN!!

However, before the class starts for FALL 2015, i received a phone call from admissions that there is a seat available for me for fall 2015.

So everyone who also are waitlisted for spring 2016, there is still hope to get in, because some students who were offered a seat, some of them dropped on last minute.

That's insane, Russdas! I can't believe they accepted you - how many days before classes did you squeeze in? (If any??)

I'm applying with a 3.43 for September and I'm soooo nervous it won't be enough.

I have a question for everyone - if I am applying the the Sept intake and my Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2 are 8 credits in total, does Langara round it down to 6? How would my GPA be calculated?

I know that the 5 university credits need to be minimum 15.

So what happens if all mine are 17?

Would my 4 credit science courses become 3 credits?
