Langara College Jan 2016 Intake

Hey guys! The deadline is quickly approaching for the Jan 2016 intake and I am already getting nervous and anxious. Especially after reading how high the GPA was for the fall 2015 intake. My GPA for the 5 credits is 3.18, so it's not outstanding and I'm quite nervous. How is everyone else feeling?

I applied for the fall 2016 with only a 3.33 I don't think that will be enough! I am considering upgrading an elective but if the requirements are going to change I don't see the point as I already have all the new requirements done as well. I just finished the academic foundations for nursing at Douglas college. Any thoughts?

Hey guys! I was just reading through the thread and preparing myself because I still have to finish the pre-reqs and that leaves me with the applying for the Fall 2017 intake but for those who applied with Bachelor degrees, did they only base your admission on GPA for those 5 pre-reqs? Or did they take into account your entire GPA from your previous degree?

They base GPA just on your pre-req's, but if you have a bachelors degree I believe you get more points (not sure how they calculate it, though).

Hey.. I was not expecting it as well. I was shocked!! I got a phone call a week before school starts. The college gave me enough time to secure the additional requirements (CPR, First aid, mask fitting, criminal record check).

I got 3.33 gpa..

I have classmates who were on the waitlisr and got accepted on the last minute as well.
