LAC+USC interview new grad RN

Hey guys, I have a question. I had an interview with LAC+USC and received a letter that I passed the oral exam. I read in the letter that they are going to contact me if positions open up. I am a new grad RN. Have you been in my situation? How long does it take until they call you? Do we have another interview after the oral interview or this is it? Please share your experience with me..thank you

I'm in ct icu, but haven't beem on the floor at all. We do a 2 week didactic orientation -- I'm actually here right now on break. After this they said we are 3 mos on MS, then ICU

Ya the luncheon is informal and is for ppl who already started. My friend didn't get a start date and called, and they told her she stats dec 1. While on orientation I ran into someone who interviewed the same day as me, july 28, and he had already began early sept., so everyone is all over the place. On my short time here, I already feel they really need us --so just hang in there. I think they're staggering us just cuz there's not enough preceptors

What unit did your friend get hired onto?

Hey guys! I finally got the call for my physical!!! Lol... It's gonna be for Monday and she said she's gonna try to have all the new hire RNs go in on that day. So if you're going too, let me know. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :)

Nurse Jaydee, did she say she was going to try to have all new hire RNs that still need a physical, to get one on monday? or was she going to try to also get the new hires who havent gotten a start date, to come in on monday as well?

She made it sound like the new hires who hadn't had a physical yet. But I'm not too sure... She said, "I'm going to have all the new hires who haven't come yet to all come on that day."

Oh okay. Well thats good news, at least theyre trying. hahh. and exciting for you! hopefully the wait for you to actually start isnt as long as mine :/

Since August 19th... which at that time was told that i'd start "septemberish??" (note the doubt in between the quotations) haha just kidding... i just hope it follows through. I have heard stories about people being promised a position but never giving them a start date and just letting them wait and wait. and this girl even went to the la county nursing school!
