Hi everyone

Does anyone have a cheat sheet to memorize lab values?...Im taking NCLEX this Friday and need as much help as possible!!!!!!!!!!:eek:

i dont know if this is going to help but i divide labs into groups.

electrolytes: bun, creatinine, sodium, potassium, chloride. calcium

cbc: rbc, hemoglogin, hematocrit, wbc, platelet, iron

blood gas: ph, pao2, hco3, paco2

medication level: dilantin, valproic acid, digoxin, vancomycin, pt/inr, ptt

lipid panel: total cholesterol, hdl, ldl, triglycerin

nutrition related: albumin, fasting glucose, protein etc..

Don't get too hung up on exact numbers - they expect you to be able to recognize if something is obviously abnormal.

Hi, I had to make my own flashcards and play games. I made cards for 20 of the most used values and playing these games has made me learn them in just a few hours. I am taking my nclex on monday!!! yikes!!! :uhoh3:

I also made flashcards and my study buddy(who is my bf) & I throws back one and answers one. I'm taking my nclex this friday too! good luck to us! =)

just memorize the ABG's and Electrolytes.
